The IKEA restaurant is honestly really good. Not exactly a 5 star cuisine, but it's got food, and it is good. So yea.

Really good chicken tenders and fries.Meat balls and mostly everything else not that great. But on a Friday at 50% off, you can really complain.

Very slow payment service in the restaurant exit at 1:30 pm on a Wednesday. Only one staff there handling the payment and the line was incredibly long. I spent 30 minutes in the line to get and pay food , and 15 minutes to eat. I did not get gravy for mashed potatoes due to lack of experience with ordering procedure, and didn’t even want to consider going back to the end of the line for another long wait just to season all the bland food in the plates. An old lady who was serving the food were correcting a young colored lay that she should have said “meatball as side” not “ four meatballs please “. Somehow the tone sounds condescending and made the poor lady uneasy. It’s not the IKEA dining experience we used to enjoy and appreciate.

Needless to say, meatballs are awesome and I was surprised garlic bread is so good as well. Sarmon is so fresh. However, deserts are not worthwhile to try…they are just sweet

It was a bit disappointing! They were out of Swedish meatballs (how is that possible?!) and I swear the portions have gotten smaller as the price has risen. It's still good tasting, but overall we wish we had gone...well, pretty much anywhere else! The desserts were a definite high-point. Thankfully the overall purpose of IKEA is not the lunch cafeteria, and service is good throughout the store.

SLOW. It takes longer to get the food than to find a table, eat and leave. And that was 5 small parties ahead of us.

Located on the second floor of this massive furniture warehouse, this restaurant is more like a cafeteria that meets you after you've navigated through a Disney-like experience of furniture showrooms. The famous dish here are the meatballs. You can get them with mashed potatoes, peas, and gravy. The prices are fairly reasonable. They have kids meals to appease the hungry little tots with your standard chicken tenders and mac and cheese type of meals. They also have desserts, but I didn't try any this go round. The meatball meal was delicious. We also had a side of mac and cheese. It was pretty good as well.Remember to sign up for an Idea account. You get a free coffee or tea with your meal. Plenty of seating available in the dining area. They even have little carts that you can place your trays on, especially if you're towing little ones with you and only have so many hands.

I found the idea of this restaurant to fascinate me given its location within IKEA. Both lines were spread out into the seating area and had a long wait of ~25 minutes when I came in on a weekend. With that, the dining area was mostly full, tables were clean. I had the Swedish meatballs plate and a Salmon filet with pesto sauce on the side for under $20. The staff were polite and kind from the serving line to checkout. The meatballs were good, peas and mashed potatoes tasted the same as anywhere else. The lingonberry jam was rather sweet, no tart taste. The salmon filet was excellently prepared. I will certainly come back to dine in at a less busy time. Thank you for your business.Kid-friendliness: There are play areas for younger children throughout the restaurant area in addition to the dedicated play room area near the store entrance.
