Their menu is constantly changing with new additions seasonally, but they also keep their signature items on the menu at all times. Absolutely everything is so delicious! We were in the Uptown plaza and wanted to try some place new. First of, there is no signage for the name. The place is spacious and clean. Customer sewaa great. The pizza was great. The other food are on the smaller portion.

It's a little bit noisy inside but the food and service were excellent. We had meatballs, wings, bread with garlic and olives, duck pot stickers, octopus and a pizza among our family of four. Everything tasted great. For dessert, we had tiramisu and Sicilian Doughnuts. The doughnuts were the better choice as the tiramisu was too sweet. Overall a lot really fun and wonderful meal. We'll be back!

I've had the pleasure of dining at the Dovetail Joint twice now, both being a stellar dinner experience. Few of the many Tri-Cities area restaurants have left me wanting to return after a second experience. The menu is eclectic, offering samples of multiple cuisines, something that normally makes a serious foodie wary, but is pulled off here with spectacular results. I've tried more than half their menu in the two visits and every dish has had layers of flavors and textures, great cooking technique and exciting creativity.The bar drinks can hold their own against the menu. Service is fun and intimate, not dull and sterile. Pricies are more than fair for what you get. The plates themselves are great too, being made with the dovetail jointery symbol stamped into them, detailing and eluding to the fact of how much thought, care and passion go into the Dovetail.

While Dovetail is not a completely vegan restaurant it is owned by a vegan and the wait staff understand that vegan is not vegetarian. Their vegan options are well thought out and they are willing to make changes depending on your preferences. It's a great atmosphere and the wait staff is pleasant and attentive.

Best meal I've ever had. We are visiting for California and this meal was far better than anything we've had. The dishes we had:Mezze platter with hummus and Muhammara: this was my favorite - super flavorful dips and green sauce, bread was so soft and love pickled vegetablesRicotta and spinach gnocci: perfectly flavored. Like spot on.African peanut stew: delicious and hearty. Nice touch with some slaw on top. Every dish was 10/10.

Look, this is the best restaurant in the Tri-Cities. I've been 10+ times and I have never tasted a food item I did not enjoy thoroughly. I cannot say that about any other restaurant in the area; most are "meh" to outright "bleh", but I feel like I can pick something at random at Dovetail and it will be delicious.Some things are better than others, but that mostly comes down to preference. For instance, I see a LOT of people having pizza here, and while their pizza is good I think their other dishes outshine it pretty easily. You can get wood-fired oven pizza at plenty of places, and Dovetail just doesn't do anything extra with theirs to set them apart. That said, I still enjoy the pizza anytime I have it. Also, I can't speak to the cocktails since I don't drink, but I did try a mocktail that was decent. Not amazing, just decent.If I had any complaints about this place it would be this: yes, it is expensive. No, you don't get big portions. The drinks, in my experience, are just alright. Also, I haven't tried their desserts yet because they aren't listed on the menu and I keep forgetting to save room for them at the end!Dovetail is still worth it, because they are THE most consistent restaurant here and the vibes are good. I'd totally understand if someone didn't like the place because you don't get enough food for the money, but I think you're doing yourself a disservice to not try it at least once.
