Came in for a quick lunch and that exactly what it was. Ordered 1/2lb burnt end Tuesday special with a 1/3 pound of lean brisket and 6oz beans. Burnt ends were 100% on point especially with a little side of the spicy bbq sauce. Beans were also good and very flavorful and exactly the kind of flavor you want with bbq food. Lean brisket bark was very flavorful and great smoke ring, some pieces were a little dry to my liking and I think it was from the last end of an already cut piece previously as the other pieces behind had juice and not dry. All in all food was good and I was in an out with a belly full.

The brisket was delicious, service was fast and friendly. We definitely eat here again to try the other items.

Not the same Porters. Went for lunch with a coworker that had never been and I doubt will return. I might but not until my memories of food poisoning wane. I tossed up my brisket and Mac and cheese about 4 hours after. Now to the critique, the restaurant was dirty, a big smear of BBQ sauce (I hope) on the front door and the sauce (mustard, my fav.) at the table was crusted at the dispensing tip and not appealing. The brisket was dry, not normal for porters and instead of the shells normally used in the gouda Mac they chose to use regular elbow pasta which doesn't quite hold the sauce and makes you feel like you're eating a slightly upgraded kraft Mac and cheese. The cheese inside the jalapeño poppers also not up to normal standards, seemed dry and perhaps just a day old or something. The kicker was that there was no sweet tea available which is perhaps my favorite part of eating at Porters. They did have a help wanted sign on the door and the staff were awesome and no issues there, just maybe they are understaffed like everywhere else but for the price of $25-30 per person just not worth it currently. There are better BBQ options in the Tri, but hopefully Porters can turn it around. I'll wait a couple months and report back after my next visit.

Spent $21 ordering a meal. And only got this slab of veins, fat, and not sure what else in a box. It was near closing. It was so gross looking. Threw it away. Whoever would sell this should be fired.

Worst place since fire was invented... to call what that was Food would be a compliment not deserved or earned. 200% GARBAGE and should have the health department close them down... or at least boycotted by every animal group they destroy in that place.!!!

Real BBQ right here in the Tri-Cities!! My favorites are the ribs and brisket. Beans ain't bad either!

This place just checks everything off my list from cleanliness, friendliness, wait times, and price. This is definitely going to be a stop of mine when visiting the Tri-Cities. Absolutely a gem that started as a food truck. Staff were very friendly and helpful at both locations we ate at. Both were clean and service was quick. I can't give enough rave reviews about Porters. I need not say that the food was delicious.

They have mediocre food at premium prices. Also, they have a tip line on their receipts, at a fast food place. It's like a buffet / cafeteria. Hard pass unless everywhere else in town is closed!

Just finished eating a rib for breakfast - tasty even cold. Off doing field work and this was perfect -bbq joint ambiance / order at the counter to select meat and quantity- counter person hands you your tray and you move down to select sides - lots of options, we went with slaw and chili- both excellent. Sorry to have passed on bean options - they also looked good but slaw was a faint hand wave at veg. Beer, ice tea and various sugared beverages. Hard surface floor, chairs and tables. Paper roller towels, squeeze bottles of sauces tagged by heat level. Kind of perfect, kids very welcome. Tried not to order too much but did and enjoying the extra. Food is really tasty, people are friendly and the prices are fair. Our crew loved it.

Disappointing to say the least. Had brisket, mac and cheese and baked beans and a brioche bun. Brisket had no noticeable smoke ring and no discernable smoke flavor. Same can be said of the baked beans. Mac and cheese was runny and dispite having a strong taste of flour. The brioche bun was stale. Sub par meal at a premium price.

The BBQ is amazing. The styrofoam and plastic utensils make me sad. And not even a recycling bin for the aluminum cans? It is possible to get take out in a paper box (and skip the sides in styrofoam) for you eco conscious consumers.

The food is great but at steep prices. Environment is good, usually quiet. Lots of parking. I think the reason I never see them very busy is due to the pricing though or I bet they'd be packed.
