This mom-and-pop shop definitely stands out amongst the other coffee options in Ridgefield. The owner is an award-winning barista who creates and pours a perfect cup every time. She trains her friendly staff to do the same. My favorite is the caramel latte - a perfect blend of bold and slightly sweet. There are plenty of other options including seasonal flavors, iced coffees, and tea. Give it a try - you'll be back for more!

Coffee was good, but the guy who made it was nonstop talking to a couple at the counter and he never called out that our coffee was ready, so it sat on the counter for at least 10 minutes, and it would've kept sitting there had we not gone up to ask if it was ours. This was our first, and last, trip to this place, just seems unprofessional and oblivious.

Lava Java is a Ridgefield gem. The coffee is hands down the best, I especially recommend the matcha latte. The baristas are kind and welcoming. It has a great atmosphere and the owner, Phuong Tran, does so much for the community.
I love Lava Java! Staff is kind and friendly, coffee is delicious, and the environment is nice to work or catch up with a friend.
