The food is disgusting and the service is horrible. It has always been this way. I tried it again since it's been a couple years and it was just as terrible, only more expensive. The owner is a huge man-child and I've watched him berate his employees on the floor.

This place is solid. Good food, good drinks, the owner is a solid human. Parking was easy when I was there. The chicken and mushroom burrito is really good. There’s fried cheese on the outside. Perfect.

I love their mushroom burrito. I think about it every time I walk by. And their crispyaf potatos. Oh can’t forget their cocktails which are well mixed and pretty strong.

I thought the service was great - the gentleman on shift came around often to check on us and even split our checks per person. The drinks were good too. Nothing blew me away but it just nice to have a place with corners and booths to chat in with good friendly service.I'd go again and take more folks.

Buho knows itself - the description of Latin-inspired comfort food is so accurate. The chicken mushroom burrito reminded me of a Midwest casserole - in a good way. It was hearty, plentiful and filling with a creamy sauce that added comfort and warmth. I found it enjoyable to add some of the hot sauce at the table for a bit of contrast. The burrito is big - definitely enough for leftovers. We also had the churros which are served stacked up like Lincoln logs. Also hearty and satisfying. Not over fried like some churros can be and the full tilt Mexican ice cream was great and a fun nod to another neighborhood establishments. Atmosphere was nice - casual and cozy but with nice furniture and upkeep and cool art. Service was fast although there was a full restaurant and only one server and one bartender. I will say now that we are four years I prefer a menu to looking at a QR code on my phone - having phones out doesn't always have a good psychological start to a date night. Maybe I could have gotten one if I asked?

Buho has been our Sunday night go to! We love Jake the bartender, he always makes the best drinks and is quick and attentive and just a cool guy to talk to. Food we love: The mushroom chicken burrito, it's ridiculously good. The Oaxacan corn appetizer, and the nachos, but everything is always delicious. We also just tried brunch and it was phenomenal!! If you haven't been for their brunch menu and drinks it's definitely one of the best in the area!

Delicious! Service - wonderful! Woman gave us suggestions for drinks and food, based off of what we wanted! They were perfect! Food and drink - between the coffee and mimosas, we were having a blast! Pleasant surprise - the huevos rancheros...I love the crunchiness of the tostadas, plus the combo of the green (milder) and red (slightly spicier) sauces, made this brunch dish have more pizazz. For a hug on a plate - please try the Pan Fritos! Upgraded version of French toast. The maple syrup and cinnamon, make this dish extra special! Shout out to staff for taking care of us! Can't wait to come back!

This takeout order was an absolute letdown. The strip was busy, but buho was nearly empty. The staff wasn't super pleasant but was promt. We ordered nachos, and they were missing black beans. The potato burrito was 90% large potato chunks, and the quesadilla had the stingiest amount of cheese. It's sad because this place was great a few years ago, but this experience made me wish I had my money back.

Came here to update a previous review, but I can’t find it, so I will just post a new one. Loved everything about this place before, including the food and the atmosphere, but the bartender was consistently an idiot, and the female server always had a terrible attitude. Welk, I went back again and happy to report that there is a new staff, and they were extremely kind, helpful, welcoming and just fantastic. The food as always was wonderful. The only thing I would change is turning the TVs off unless there’s a big important game on or some thing. It doesn’t match the rest of the cool, dark, moody ambience of the bar. I get it, if there’s an important game, then sure, but it’s bright and distracting otherwise. This is my go to spot to bring new folks, and I will keep returning so long as the service is great as it now appears to be. Thanks for dumping the asshats, Buho!

This is a message to management. You have a great bartender/server on staff who was left to serve the entire restaurant single handedly. He extended himself gracefully with a friendly demeanor in what was obviously a snit situation. Anyone not in the industry would not recognize the conditions ... ONE PERSON SERVING THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT; bartender, server, busser, a THREEE PERSON JOB. Pay this man what he is worth or hire a server. WTF is wrong with you? The food: French fries were TOPS. The best in the city. Tacos were "a little dry". Cocktails: JFC... so good. Value... exceptional. We left fat and happy. BUT really, hire this man a server if you want to keep him. And just an FYI, I don't know him, never met him, I just walked in, scanned the place and saw it immediately. There are worse things than having an extra person on a slow night an that's overworking a star employee when it's busy. Do better, folks. We'll be back. Can't wait to meet the server.

Decent food, good service, and a chill atmosphere. Also, the daily happy hour is a pretty good deal.

Best ambience around it's so mellow and the lighting is dark but elegant paired with really unique decor. Their burritos are killer and I would highly recommend you get it smothered! Don't sleep on their happy hour it's hands down the best in white center and the grilled cheese tacos are only available during happy hour. Asada fries and nachos are also outstanding and their selection of tequilas and mezcals is far reaching. There is even a small back patio that's pretty secluded and great on nice days.
