Had a great meal for 2 at B&Z! Good food, great service, and we also enjoyed the drinks. Reasonably priced and convenient at the top of Queen Anne.

This is a great place considering the price and portion sizes. The portion sizes here are pretty large. The food tastes pretty good but isn't really outstanding. They have a spacious inside seating with a few small TV's on the walls, I think in the summer they also open their outside patio.

B&Z sits on top of Queen Ann Hill on the main thoroughfare. This part of the neighborhood can be a parking challenge, but any cross street leads into the regular neighborhood where it is easier to find a spot. The atmosphere is relaxed for dining and socializing with friends and family. B&Z was similar to most restaurants that cater to the American pallet with their version of Mexican food. Although a few dishes bring that south of the border style that I love. Such as the chicken fajitas and if you like hot spicy chili's there's one on the plate! The first bite and my mouth was on fire! I just wish the onion and peppers were cut up more. Very difficult to fill a tortilla as is. The salsa that was on the table wasn't what I liked. Very watery with no flavor. My friends liked it, but I prefer a thicker salsa that sticks to the chips such as Pico de Gallo. Everyone else had burritos that would please anyone that likes the American stylized version. They looked a little dry for my taste, but every restaurant seems to have a different take on them. The one area they need to improve is cleanliness. Not that the place would fail an inspection, but their staffing at least the night I went was the cook and waiter. So tables were not cleared up after people had left.A comment for parents with toddlers... Please be mindful of the others that are dining. Nobody wants to sit and look at nor walk through your kids food thrown all over the floor. Clean it up people!Overall, the food was above average. I was a little surprised at the pricing when Mexican food is usually a bargain, but in today's world it is what it is when dining out!

Outstanding food and service in a down-to-earth setting. Everything we ordered was great, and they were very accommodating of our family of 5 coming in for a late dinner. We don't live in Seattle, but if we did, this would be a go-to.

How have I not known about this place. I stopped in for a breakfast burrito which I always crave and nobody around Queen Anne has them. Or if they do they don't open till 10am or 11am when I'm not wanting a breakfast burrito. This burrito was so fresh and so good. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the balance of ingredients were spot on. The salsa they give you on the side has so much flavor. I normally wouldn't eat chips with my breakfast burrito but I had to try them since they included them with the burrito. The flavor of the chips were so good and the chip itself was light, thin and crunchy. You can tell these are made in-house. I'm excited to try lunch/dinner items and of course a margarita soon. The gentleman that was there this morning was very friendly. It sounds like it's a family owned and ran business. Oh and they have an outdoor patio. That's going to be great for margaritas during the summer.

Big portions, delicious food, shredded beef was great. Very friendly staff, and some of the best free salsa with chips I've had at any family Mexican restaurant.

It’s a good place. Food is good and inexpensive. There is not another Mexican restaurant for miles. I can’t imagine their rent being very low, so Queen Anne residents better start giving them some business, if they want this place to stick around.

A welcoming spot with excellent service! The people here are full of warmth, care, and heart. It's perfect for families, large groups, and anyone looking for tasty vegetarian options for kids and adults. Dinner portions were generous enough for next-day leftovers. The location is convenient for people who walk, bus (3, 4, 13), or drive (easy street parking), and the space has lots of seating indoors and outdoors.

Our party of four had a delicious early dinner here last week. The staff (Armando, who I believe is the owner) were wonderful, and he shared that they use his mother's recipes. Yummy and authentic! Two of us had the fajitas, one had the Chile Colorado, and one had chicken enchiladas. We also had guacamole and queso. Generous servings, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Recommend!
