We had a very unfortunate experience at Byen. We came at 6:45 on Saturday (15 minutes after they opened), and there was literally nothing available. To make it worse, when we asked the cashier how long it would be she walked as slowly as she could to ask the baker. We were told it would be another 15 minutes. Why open at 6:30 when you aren't going to be ready until 7? Super disappointed as we were very excited based on other reviews, but this was a very poor experience.

Absolutely fantastic bakery with many oven fresh options! Whether you are buying bread, pastries, a thumbprint or a cake; this bakery is second to none. A bit pricey, but the portion size is worth it!

This place has been on my list for years, and now I regret not coming sooner. We got the princess cake, carrot cake, semla (cardamom bun with raspberry creme and jam) and the passion fruit tart. Everything was so good; thank you GBBO for introducing me to the Princess Cake. Hands down my favorite of all time. The two employees at the shop were really helpful and patient [with my weird amount of excitement .], atmosphere was cute an low key. Parking is OK depending on the time of day, I parked around the corner near the 7/11.

The Danishes I got were fantastic, they're a little spendy. Don't choke on the $7 apiece and you'll get to enjoy fantastic pastries. ?

Love this bakery! I've heard everything here is pretty good and I can say that's true. I got their Swedish Gooey Cake. It is to die for. So rich, chocolate-y and delicious!! It's also super filling so a slice or two goes a long way. Perfect to share with friends and family. I'll be back here to try more menu items!

The tree logs - traestammer (Danish) is so delicious - moist cake , and good marzipan. I think it rivals or is better than the one I had at a market in Copenhagen as bigger and better marzipan.

Their cardamom buns and cardamom raisin buns are the very best! It's my family's favorite thing to enjoy!

No cardamom bread left in the afternoon. No problem. Asked if they would have some the next day. Counter person told me she would check the schedule. I could see her speaking with someone in the back, but she never returned. After 10 minutes I just gave up and left.
