Just wanted to share awesome positive vibe of this place. We only got a bottle of water there, but experience left me happy. My daughter was very thirsty while we were on a stroll around UW. We kept searching for it, but couldn’t find any. We ended up coming to a cafe which was closed a time. I went in, explained a situation and asked if I could buy a bottle and quickly leave as nothing else was open. Staff was very nice to us and allowed us to get one. It was very kind and made our evening with frustrated and thirsty toddler much nicer. Thank you and we will be back when you are open.

Quaint little place, nice staff, definitely recommend ? for a late night craving or meet up spot. Tried the Green Smoothie and absolutely loved it. No added sugar as requested, and very fresh. Our new late night go-to place :

It is great to see Cafe Happy is serving hot vegan food again. Same great taste as it was in Kirkland, but at a much, much larger space with plenty of tables and chairs. Both the ma po tofu and chicken broccoli were excellent.The location is less busy than the main University Avenue area, so it is easier to find close by parking if you drive. It is of course very close to main campus of UW.Keep in mind that everything is cook to order, and is created by one person behind the counter. Be patient and you will be rewarded with the best vegan Chinese food in town. It is a great place to hang out with friends or just get a drink, some food, and study away.

Cafe Happy is the best bubble tea on the Ave! The staff are friendly and warm (especially the owner), lots of vegan snacks from which to choose, and the tea is fantastic! The flavor choices are true classics and done really well. My co-worker loves the fresh smoothies. Great stuff!

This is an AMAZING study spot if you are a UW student... if you don't buy anything. I know there plenty of rich tech bros in Seattle but I am not one of them... yet. Cafe Happy clearly did not know that because why was my little green smoothie (shown in picture) over $10?? Instead of adding a tip option, the tip is automatically included. Like please, if I'm going to tip, I want to feel like I did my good deed for the day. Automatic tipping makes me want to do bad things. Great study spot but I didn't study well because the gaping hole in my soul caused by my lack of $10 was siphoning my attention for the duration of my stay. I know I may sound pretty bummy right now and believe me, I would be fine with a $10 drink IF it tasted exceptional and was a decent size but this was small and tasted the same as when I toss some frozen fruit into my portable blend jet. Anyways, the warm ambiance, late close time, and good outlet placements make this a 4.8/5 study spot (-.2 because the all the seats are hard and I'm quite bony) but as a cafe, the drink selection was lackluster.

Staff has told me that this is because they use a milk tea powder to make their standard milk tea>Not too much ice for regular ice option>Boba is chewy, but a little toughThe drink was still ok, given it is the most popular kind of milk tea. Average, but would not suggest the cafe if you are looking for something specific that is not as popular/mainstream. The use of milk tea powder also leads me to believe they use a lot of premades in other drinks, which can make ordering with certain restrictions or custom requests difficult or change the taste of certain orders.

Amazing vegan cafe!! I got the vegan dumplings, one with veggies and with soy “meat” - they were so perfect and flavourful. I also ordered vegan taro boba, after going to other places that didn’t offer vegan taro it was so amazing to finally be able to try it here. The man working at the front was very kind and patient, he tried his best to rush our order as we were in a hurry. He also was considerate enough to check my preferences with some ingredients, as they were vegan but made in the same facility as milk ingredients. It’s so cute inside and everything can be made vegan. I would really recommend coming here, it’s clean + modernly designed inside and the food/bubble tea is delicious and vegan ? ? 100/100 recommendDietary restrictions: Vegan friendly
