Great location, great food, great drinks, great company, great history, and great atmosphere. This awesome underground tavern is definitely one to mark off your list of places to visit. Great for readers, history’s buffs and speak easy frequenters. Cheers!

We love this place for it's good and ambiance. It has an old-world pub feel, with games to play.

Good service and a really nice environment. Seriously, beautiful building, inside and out.The sandwich we ordered was alright, but I'm frustrated by how little we got for what we spent. The other reviews seem to have had a great time, so I guess just order something that isn't the eggplant sandwich and you'll be satisfied. It was barely longer than my hand. There was also a nice sauce for the fries, which was pretty good and made me feel a little better about the actual main course being a disappointment. The amount we ended up paying was about 30 dollars, after tax and whatever my sister tipped. That's Seattle for you. While it would've been less if she didn't tip, the service is great, so not doing so just feels like a crime.Would come again for the cozy environment, but maybe I'll just order a coffee.

food outstanding but the atmosphere is the best - this is a social gathering place for many small group regulars as it is known for its uplifting vibrant energy - Arta and Ed duo bring this place alive great service food you name it

A one of one original street level pub with some of the best PNW woodwork interior you’ll ever see. Tremendous beer tap selection and fabulous menu from the cafe upstairs.

Delicious! I went when it was rather slow (4:30pm on a Wednesday) and enjoyed a seared kale salad alongside a latte and Baklava (pictured). The service was kind, quiet, attentive, and sweet while the atmosphere was relaxed like a bookstore aughta be... Akin to sitting in a HIGH QUALITY Barnes and Noble Bookstore/Cafe, if B&N were owned by a wonderful person named Arta and everything was made in-store.Check out the downstairs area for music some evenings, and be sure to say hi to Arta who's often on site.Kid-friendliness: An entire play-area for them, complete with seating and a fire place nearby.

Just left brunch at Cafe Arta. Had Arben's breakfast and a coffee. Really impressed by the food and service. Definitely going back.

The food is Mediterranean and delicious. The service is friendly (Arta runs the place in person and her staff seems to like her). The atmosphere is a bookstore, so it is perfect.Get a book at Third Place and walk back to the Cafe. Have a coffee or a beer and settle in to read. If you have kids there is a great little play-place fenced off and in clear view of the restaurant, so you can distract the kids and get a meal all at once.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant has a small section penned off with kids toys and books, clearly visible from the restaurant. A great spot to let younger kids play away from the table while the adults savor their food.

First time using Yelp and first time at this establishment while my family visited a friend in Ravenna neighborhood. Great lamb burger and a delicious eggplant sandwich. Learn that they have breakfast and brunch. Be back for sure. Owner was a delightful to talk with. Costumer service was excellent. Good health department rating.

I came here for one thing and one thing only: Lamb Burger! There are only a handful of places around the city that serves the LB, and they’re not all alike. Cafe Arta & Pub’s is solid, nothing too exotic. It’s built like a basic burger: lettuce, tomato, (real) cheddar cheese, (caramelized! ❤️) onions. Salt and pepper seasoning was done with an even hand. You can request your condiments. I liked the simplicity, as I was able to enjoy the lamb flavor for what it is.One side note, though I do like medium rare, I did ask for a medium cooked patty. It was more medium rare than medium, so keep that in mind if you decide to swing by.

We have tried this place for a breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee and were more than happy every time! The food is just great! Finally a good breakfast/brunch place in this area. Two ladies working there are lovely and attentive, make you feel welcome. The restaurant is associated with a book store, which gives this place a special charm. There seems to be an outdoor seating for the summer. We have not experienced it yet, but will surely be back.
