The new Conversation menu was amazing! Our favorites were the burrata, eggplant lasagna, the wings, and the osso bucco (was fall off the bone delicious). The dishes came out on beautiful plates and the presentation felt fresh. It’s a great spot right by the market and I’ll for sure be coming back when people come to town and visit! Also shout out to Martha for providing wonderful service - she was very kind and explained the menu well.

Food was tasty but service and cleanliness an issue. While staff are very friendly and present as eager to help, they aren’t.No one comes to ask how things are. They spend more time talking socially to one another than attending to customers.Re cleanlinessWait staff finish dressing the dishes. I watched waiters stick their bare hands in containers of food to garnish plates.Hands that had just cleared dirty dishes are handling food.Cotton napkins were worn with fuzz, dirty carpets and worn cutlery. Small things but display an overall lack of care.

My partner and I tried something new for our joint birthday date and found Conversation. The decor is nice and the location is in a bustling area near Pike Place...that's about all the positive feedback I can provide for this place. Our reservation was at 6pm, and we were sat immediately by the floor manager. Our server gave us waters that would never again be refilled. While we ate the admittedly decent Crab Dip, a table of two ladies next to us was visited by the same floor manager who sat them, who asked them to move to a different table so they could accommodate a 3 top. The ladies politely moved but I was stunned. The $61 steak came to our table and it had been gashed 5 times through the length of the strip, letting all heat and juices pour out of it. The "wagyu" burger came as well (which was either not wagyu or had left under a heat lamp too long as it was bone-dry)Both entrees were on huge plates, leaving us to Tetris our glassware and bread plates around...none of which had been pre-bussed. Our server took this to mean we may want the Crab Dip boxed up. Instead of taking our appetizer plate away to box it, she dropped a box at our table and walked away....still no water refill. Finally, the check came. Unaware of the automatic 20% service charge, I was floored to see that there was a line on the check for additional tip, as the service charge was "distributed amongst the staff" and 3% would go to hotel staff. I don't know how they are okay with charging automatic gratuity for a 2 top but I suppose if the service is going to be that bad, they have no choice to build in the tip, because I certainly wouldn't have left one based on merit. Skip this place.

I did not care for the food. Undercooked and over cooked, the pork belly inedible. For what we paid which was outrageous we did not eat even 1/4 of our meal. We will not be going back.

The only thing I ordered was an espresso martini. It was good, but crazy overpriced. They automatically add a 20% service fee to all bills, so my total came out to $31.75 for one cocktail. That’s more than they charge for cocktails in NYC.

Very good decor, great location, prompt service and good food and drinks options. Love the proximity to the hotel we were staying at. Walking distance from the Pike place market.

This was a restaurant we were excited to try however our breakfast was a bit of a let down. We ordered the bagel and lox, which we had to assemble ourselves which just took away from the dining experience and made it so difficult to eat. It couldn’t be enjoyed as easily as if it came with all the toppings already on the bagel. Also ordered the avocado toast which was loaded up. We were a bit frustrated that we were charged an automatic 20% gratuity on our food even though we were only a party of 2. We’ve only ever seen automatic gratuity being applied on parties of 6+, but to be fair we didn’t read the fine print on the bottom of the menu well enough to see we had to pay the 20% gratuity. The server also didn’t say anything about the 20% already applied to the total bill so if you weren’t paying attention you would double tip them.

Great food! Friendly staff! Convenient for guests staying at the hotel, but also accessible to the general public. Located close to Pike Place Market.

The Conversation pleasantly surprised us with the level of service and quality of food. Martha was a wonderful server and made the experience extra special. We enjoyed the charcuterie and smash burger. The potato cake was also phenomenal.

Came in for an early dinner. Had made a reservation but definitely did not need to. Recommend the charcuterie and cheese plate as well as the broccolini Caesar salad!

The atmosphere was warm and intimate but the service and dishes were lackluster. Prices of dishes versus the quality definitely does not justify the prices. We ordered the smash burger and king salmon; both should be about half the price as far as the ingredients and flavor are concerned. Bottom line - try a different restaurant.

Very well done eggs benedict! The ham, the hollandaise sauce, egg, and muffin had great flavors and good textures, the muffin was soft and fresh.

Price runs double the served quality. Definitely a situation where the image presented out performs the quality of the food served. I would not return at the current prices for quality.
