Best German pub in Seattle. Amazing beet salad, incredible pretzels, and the best Jägerschnitzel in Washington state. Definitely the most complete selection of German beer for hundreds of miles. Keith, the manager, is the best!

The bartender was horrible took our order filled one drink out of the two then went off to do something else then came back and said they did not have the liquor to make my drink we are now over 20 mins in..I asked the bartender what he would recommend for a drink that was similar to the one that couldn't be made and he tossed down a drink menu...30 plus mins in and I got a drink omg ordering food was a whole other mess..the bartender seemed annoyed to do his job was not friendly or helpful and made this place somewhere I would never recommend or return there myself honestly this in the worse bar service I have experienced in a long long time

Great dining experience. Service was not super fast but was on par with “European Style”, they don’t rush you and want you to enjoy your food. The servers were friendly and helpful. Beer selection is solid, including a nice selection of drafts. Had the Jägerschnitzel and the Käsespätzle with the mushroom gravy. Both dishes were very good and for a German restaurant in the US, I’d place them pretty highly. They’re changing up their weekend dining to accommodate a brunch, if you show up between 1pm and 3pm, there is no real food available, only French fries or pretzels, as the kitchen is changing over. I lived in Germany for four years, I consider this a good find and will be coming back.
Hospitality is non existent at this establishment. It takes a lot for me to leave a review. While the food and beer selection are great. Stay true to the golden rule ‘be nice’. Their golden rule seems to be ‘ignorance is bliss’ . When done right this type of service can be great. Sucks because they have some of most unique brews you can’t find out side of Germany.

The food here was absolutely amazing (highly recommend the big pretzel), and the non-alcoholic cocktails were well crafted and tasty.The real standout feature here s their customer service. I can't remember the last time I've been in such a welcoming and friendly establishment. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Stumbled upon this place on xmas eve for a drink only to find out that they were serving a FREE full spread of xmas turkey dinner! The owner was so sweet and kind. The staff was amazing. Food and drinks were delicious too! Definitly recommend!!!

I have been here once and I hope to come more often as I work in the neighborhood! They have a nice selection of drinks and food and the atmosphere is nice. Came here with coworkers, and we don’t get to spend time with each other outside of a work setting too much. The music was loud and it was a bit busy, we were a bit party and I genuinely couldn’t hear my coworkers across the table. One of the bartenders, person with red hair, came extremely aggressive, yelling at us to quiet down; without asking previously with any respect. If they came earlier and were respectful; that would have been very understandable and no issue at all! But they were hostile and completely ruined our evening. I politely asked if they could turn down the music, as I still couldn’t hear the rest of my party, and they responded VERY rudely with “I have to turn up the music because you guys were so loud”. Even the other people in the bar were raising eyebrows due to how hostile they were. I would absolutely never want to interact with this person again, as they seem to take out their rage on customers…when they work in customer service… However, Skye is an an excellent server and bartender! Skye was very nice, attentive, and friendly. Hope the other employees are as great as Skye when I return! But if the employee is there with red hair make sure you are extra quiet!! Edit: they didn’t seem too bothered when the table next to us was yelling while chugging a beer ?

We loved Die Bierstube and visited several times during our weeks long trip to Seattle. It was close to the U-District, the Link (line 1), groceries, and other points of interest.The staff were friendly and welcoming - the kind of pub that treats you like a “regular” after you show up a second time.They pour a perfect Bitburger Pils and Gaffel Kölsch - remarkable head, and in regulation glassware!We had a nice curry wurst lunch and brought friends around as well.
