Considering how vegan friendly dim sum is as a cuisine, I was shocked by there only being four items on the menu that were vegan. For instance, the vegetable pot stickers aren't even vegetarian since they use chicken powder, which is also present in all of their dumplings. The kale salad is not even vegetarian. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, I'm just surprised. Dumpling the Noodle in Wallingford has so many vegan options and of the four items we had here, all four of the items were better at Dumpling the Noodle. It just seems like an awfully lazy way to flavor food with a questionable animal product. Just put some MSG in that dough, take out the chicken powder, or do any number of other easy things to make the dough delicious.Such a bummer of an experience at what seems like it should be a great restaurant.Vegetarian options: Foods that should be vegetarian bizarrely are not vegetarianDietary restrictions: Fruits that should be vegan bizarrely are not vegan

The food is good - I ordered takeout and picked it up on my way to the train station. Cute packaging….but there are no eating utensils, napkins or even sauce for my dumplings!!! I understand not including especially utensils and napkins - that turns into garbage. But at least ask if one needs it when you hand over the order! And for sure include the sauce with the dumplings. Who ever heard of such a thing??

Delicious and great pricing! The atmosphere was adequate. Window seating was quite nice. I mean, if you like dumplings, you'll definitely love this place. And the prices are fantastic. I'll definitely be back. Frequently.

Dumplings a little doughy. The steamed pork buns had a small sphere of pork in a big airy bun. Thought the special sauce was too hot, and the soy sauce a bit salty. We've had better, but the pan fried chicken pot stickers were pretty good.

Dough zone is always a winner. Service is good. Went right when they opened so got seated right away. Clean and simple decor. Dan Dan noodles great. Soup dumplings good but not the best I've ever had. Bao buns pan fried are delicious. Kale is great but would be better hot.Dietary restrictions: Definitely not gluten free friendly. My fiance is GF and couldn't really eat much.

highly disappointed by both the "Q-bao" and xlb. both were very bland and had little soup. Q-bao texture was kinda cardboardy and xlb were stuck together when we received them. the dan dan noodles and sweet and sour cucumbers were solid and worth trying.service was quick (although they didn't give us sauce bowls and we had to ask), and food came out almost immediately even though they were busy. portion sizes are small for the price.

Dirty restaurant: sticky tables, table rags looked horrendous, dusty decor, condiment containers looked sus. Staff managed to be both openly rude in English and discretely rude in Cantonese. We left before eating. Check health code violations before eating here, many in this franchise were given unsatisfactory grading.

Yummmooooo!! We are first timers to this spot and man were we impressed. It's not a big restaurant but very efficient and clean . You order at the table using a check list and they bring the entrees out as it is prepared . You get kind of a nonstop train of yumminess. Everything ordered was top notch. The cucumbers were our favorite and I don't even like cucumbers! There were oodles of noodles, soft, perfectly seasoned and flavorful. Great price point and we will return!

Been here several times, and it has never been a negative experience. The food is always excellent, though I've noticed that the cucumbers have become more sweet and less spicy over the past year or so. Kudos to the staff for being kind, helpful, and amazingly efficient. The wait for take-away is surprisingly fast considering how busy they often are around mealtimes.
