Food and coffee are a step up from Starbucks but not premium. Has a neighborhood vibe but the decor is not that comfy. It's needed in the location and glad it's here!

I love the interior. I love the neighborhood. The coffee is very good. I want to give a good review. But my order is a 16oz Americano, and this shop charges a $0.60 higher price for their 16oz double shot Americano than their 12oz double shot Americano. It's just a slightly larger cup and 4oz of hot water. When I asked why, I was told that the 16oz cups cost a lot more. I replied "that doesn't sound right", and I was told more firmly that it was true because they're made from compostable material or something like that.At most, 12oz cups cost $0.12 per cup. The absolute highest price I could find for the best, most insulated 16oz cups was $0.19 per cup.It is a dishonest practice to say you're using 16oz paper coffee cups that cost $0.72 per cup. Or, if it's true, you should find a new vendor immediately. The funny thing is they came around to offer water in 6oz paper cups a little later... for free! Which was very nice of them, but also illustrates my point. You're overcharging customers for wanting 4oz of extra hot water so they can enjoy their drink just a little longer. This is not a good way to treat your customers. If you need to meet a profit margin, charge a little more for every size of Americano with 2 shots in it. Or charge $0.10 more for each larger size. That covers the cup cost plus a few pennies.I don't come to the shop that often, although I did recommend meeting a colleague there recently. My protest going forward will be that I'll bring in my own 16oz travel cup and ask for a 12oz Americano..."just fill it up with 12oz of water". And then I'll add warm water. The policy is $0.50 off if you bring your own cup. So I'll get the drink I want while saving $1.10 off your inflated set price.Again, I really like the shop and the people. But I don't like paying extra for hot water, and it's a bit insulting to be told something that's simply not true.

Dubsea is a spacious, community-oriented coffee shop. there are lots of seasonal specials to try and I loved the ginger snap latte. For food, there are pastries and sandwiches available. The staff is very welcoming and this cafe feels like a place where everyone can go to socialize, work, or relax. It is filled with eclectic decor and is very family-friendly, as there are books, coloring pages, and other educational toys to keep kids occupied.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids’ area with books, crayons, magnets, and other toys to keep kids occupied

I love Dubsea! I am picky about coffee and this is one of the few places that has both good coffee and good food. Pastries are not made in-house to my knowledge so if you are a stickler for fresh pastries then be warned, however their breakfast sandwiches are creative and always tasty. They also have some lunch sandwiches. I have always had excellent service from very nice employees, and the overall feeling I get from dubsea is that it's a treasured neighborhood staple in a safe, walkable neighborhood. It's also kid-friendly, and has nice activities for kids under 10, with kid-friendly food and beverage options. There is always street parking available out front and is easily accessible for wheelchair users. Additionally, there is a private bathroom for customers and plenty of seating so you don't have to worry if you can find somewhere to sit. I believe they also have wifi for customers, but I'm not 100% positive. I really love their chocolate flavor (tastes like actual chocolate and not just weird artifical goop like most places) and during the holidays I love an orange chocolate mocha. Finally, if you get a chai or other tea ask to leave the tea bag in the cup for it to be a bit stronger than usual.

I actually am shocked I have never reviewed Dubsea! My sincere apologies, to Dubsea and to you all that are now coming to Dubsea because of said review! Said.. not sad I think you get the best picture of Dubsea love by imagining a summer night open mic in the green ridge plaza which is the circular space between dubsea and the boys and girls club. Imagine music playing, families and friends all posted up watching the performance, catching up with community, drinking deep of LIFE! That is what happens day in and day out at Dubsea Coffee Co... not the open mic, that's like once a year, but the life and community- that happens daily. And it is over an incredibly good cup of coffee, latte, espresso, iced coffee! Whether you come for the coffee, linger a little longer for the people. You won't be disappointed and you'll definitely leave with your cup filled in more ways than one!

Looks like the original owner sold the shop and ever since the drink quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. I personally don't mind having to pay more if it keeps the place in business but it does not help when the drinks are made incorrectly. It also looks like the previous baristas that have been working here quit and now there is a new set of inexperienced and rude staff. It's unfortunate since I've loved this place since moving to White Center.

Great atmosphere and a great place for a quick coffee or to relax and meet with friends. As a mother, I love the kids' table with toys. The ice tea was wonderful and the lemonade was refreshing. We will be back.
