The smoothies are fine, but the people behind the counter are pretty unfriendly, often slow to acknowledge you when you walk in, and the place isn’t very clean or well-kept.

For the price, I was expecting a hearty acai bowl, something like a meal replacement. The only toppings this had was a thin layer of stale granola, rock-hard chia seeds, and comically thick slices of banana. The açaí consistency was watery and thin with barely any flavor. And the service took forever. Please do not go here for the acai. It’s really an afterthought to their smoothies, which are a actually pretty decent. Pardon my french, but I’m pretty freaking upset about the ordeal. Perhaps that’s a bigger issue, a hole I was looking to fill with a half-way decent smoothy bowl. Life can be hard and full of pain, and often we turn to comforting places and food to provide an escape, even just for a moment. My wife and kids left me, and I am really just looking for answers. I didn’t find them at Emerald City Smoothies, and I suspect you won’t either. 2/10

They take no cash but have very good smoothies. Lock your car. Enjoy lots of flavors and kinds.

Worst service ever !! The staff was on very bad mood and she didn’t even talk when I walked in. She was very unhappy that I asked about something, and never said anything about the additional boosters unless I asked for. She got mad when I said it is too sweet, and madly made the juice and threw them. The juice tasted completely different from first one, and still was very sweet without the additional boosters. Why did I need to pay …?

Worst service ever and the rudest staff ever seen in the history!!! I just dropped in and somehow she was completely mad entire time. So unprofessional! Why do I need to pay for the food that was given by a madly angry person without a reason? I really regretted that I spent money and went there!!!

It's expensive, but they're fast. It's a smoothie.

I'm a personal trainer who is here in Seattle for work. I initially tried the Emerald City Smoothie near Bellevue and was happy with the service and product. After coming back to Seattle and staying in Ballard, I needed my quick protein fill while I was staying busy throughout the day. I was happy to see that there was an Emerald City Smoothie right down the street from me, and even more elated to have experienced several great smoothies after visiting this location. I'm a peanut butter person due to the amazing taste, high caloric content, and additional protein, so I've only tried peanut butter smoothies at this location. Each smoothie has been delicious and the consistency perfect. I worked at Smoothie King for a couple of years and feel as though my smoothie skills are above average, somewhat kidding, but I think this place nails it - at least in my limited experience. I've read some reviews regarding the prices and I'm struggling to find a discrepancy when comparing locations. Also, it's Seattle and y'all live here; everything is unnecessarily expensive. It seems par for the course to me as an outsider. I digress. The service has been perfectly adequate and they've made great smoothies, at an expected Seattle price, during my visits.

I always appreciate when places have macro count!! Especially since smoothies have a tendency to sneak up on you in terms of calories, I like knowing what my options are. They offer a wide variety of smoothie selections. Often times you can customize your drink with an added fruit flavor. I wish they had a list posted somewhere, but it's basically almost any flavor you can imagine. Smoothies are not too sweet, a good texture, and perfect at any time of the day!Their acai bowl was a let down. It was more like a frozen block of ice than a nice, creamy texture.Overall though, there is a special place in my heart for Emerald City Smoothie, so the nostalgia factor gets a bonus star.

I have ordered hundreds of smoothies from this business but today for some reason they could not make a good smoothie. I requested to remake it for me and it still tasted disgusting. Do not go to this location.

The customer service here is awesome!!!! The only thing is they don't take cash... Which is a little inconvenient.... Other that the guy that helped me was INCREDIBLE. I needed to get my card working on Google pay and he was so patient. It took me the longest time but he remained calm and helpful and didn't get frustrated or anything. I give him a 10*

(1/5)My recent visit to the Emerald City Smoothie located on Market Ave left me thoroughly disappointed. Despite my high expectations, the overall experience was lackluster, with mediocre quality, overpriced offerings, and longer than usual wait times.. First and foremost, the quality of the smoothies was far from satisfactory. Not only did they fail to deliver on the flavor I ordered, but the consistency was completely off.To make matters worse, the prices here are fairly higher than what I'm used to paying at the aurora location, & unreasonably high for the quality provided. It felt like paying a premium for a subpar product. I expected better value for my money, considering it being the same company. (Franchised so different owners I get it) Considering the lack of quality, and high prices, I cannot recommend the Emerald City Smoothie Market Ave location. I would highly recommend the location on aurora (9881 Aurora Ave NSeattle, WA 98103) (I've been going there for over 5 years mind you I spend $200 a month on smoothies from ECS)Once you've become frequent to this location, you'll be greeted by name when you walk in. If you get the same drink every time they will make it, upon seeing you (of course confirming that's what you want) things do change. That's that! Enjoy. Ps. This is my 3rd time going to the Ballard location. Definitely won't be going back. Similar things happened prior 2 visits as well. Good luck hope this is useful to somebody.
