My friend recommended me this place. Great place to study! I honestly came here to buy the sticker but their pastry took me by surprise. Their matcha muffin has red bean filling inside and it was delicious. Everything here has a Japanese twist to it and i love that. Lots of seats inside with stable WiFi. The barista was nice as well.

truly honestly swear to god, this shop should have a gold medal in consistency for most unwelcoming and off-putting staff. If I had a dollar for every time I asked “how are you?” to any barista with a simple “good” and nothing else in return I would have enough money to buy this location, and restaff the whole place. your work life doesnt suck that bad if you can wear slippers and leggings to work, please be less miserable.

Pastries are decent. But the cashier in the picture is super nasty and rude to customers. She yelled at me for no reason when I just ordered two items and this isn’t the first time. Never returning to this location again. One other time, she made customers wait while she was socializing with her coworkers.

Rude and snotty service for a mistake on their end. Didn’t have to be like that totally ruined the experience. So glad i was over charged and gave a great tip

They're always bustling but provide great service and a big selection of pastries!

Coffee was great! I had a pistachio latte (I think pistachio was seasonal) which was delicious. Not too bitter and perfect balance of sweet and strong. We also got a chocolate croissant which tasted good, but I was disappointed that we weren't given an option to heat up the croissant and have the chocolate melty. Service was quick and friendly. We were easily able to find a table for our group of four on Sunday around noon.

Dropped by around 9:20A on Friday morning and the place was pretty busy with good traffic flow in and out. Ordered a mint matcha and a basque cake. Really enjoyed the mint matcha--good balance of flavors, on the sweeter side. They have an 8oz size that was perfect. The basque cake was nice in texture with a strong crust but quite plain in flavor. Would personally skip it next time.

Friendly staff, yummy oat milk latte, perfect spot for a cup to-go on the way to work. Good morning vibes. Worth a stop.

The onigiri is in the cooler. Ideally let it warm up/thaw before peeling the cover and eating.Their pastries like their croissants are really well made delicious and crispy and chewy and all the right ways. The berries and fruit in the danishes are very fresh and really delicious.Best of all are the Japanese mochi-like hand made desserts -- made by Tokara near by -- that you might catch if you are early enough. As far as I know I think it's the only Japanese dessert maker left in Seattle. In the photo are the Uguisu which are made of soft silky mochi wrappes, chunky Adzuki bean paste. Sprinkled with roast soy powder. Rice flour, sugar, mizuame candy.Vegetarian options: Most of the pastries are vegetarian. They do have the one savory option with onion.

Being someone who just moved into the neighborhood a few weeks back and looking for my go to coffee shop, I was so excited to see that this wonderful place is almost across the street, but I won’t be back. I was pleased to see that many reviews explained it being dog friendly. As someone who has a PSA, ADA protected, my service animal goes everywhere with me, even though I still gravitate towards dog friendly places. After several weeks of stopping in for literally just an espresso, then on my way after 3-5 mins, yesterday, I was doing my same routine. After about 4-5 mins finishing my espresso, I was met by one of the employees asking if I was finished with my for here cup seconds after having the last sip. “Are you finished with that?” “Oh, yes, thank you so much.” “We don’t mind if dogs come in and out, but try to not stay too long.”Literally, are you kidding me? Never asked if she was a service animal, assumed a situation that wasn’t correct, and was just rude on top of it. I felt like I was basically asked to leave immediately. I am loyal to local businesses and a loyal regular customer to a fault. Well, needless to say, the worse welcome to a new neighborhood I have ever felt in Seattle and how do you have a jar of dog treats within your business, but then ask someone to leave with an ADA protected service animal? I have so many questions, but luckily, I have many other coffee shops to enjoy within the Phinney neighborhood. YOU REALLY MESSED UP. See you never.

Probably the best almond croissant I've had, but the others weren't to die for. Hear their blueberry muffin is the star of the show though. Still yet to taste it, always sold out.

At this point, I feel that most cafes in Seattle that remain in business have decent coffee. So, that means the main factors to judge a shop by are its interior, prices, and its employees, all of which this shop passed with flying colors! A coffee shop with plenty of outlets, large tables, and ACTUALLY GOOD WiFi can be a rarity, and the employees are friendly and helpful! Food prices are decent, too! $6ish on average for a delicious breakfast sandwich.
