I sure hope this place stays open longer than the 4 other businesses that occupied the same address. My wife and I had a pleasant experience. The food is great!

Never been here before had to park behind the building. But man well worth it. I got the banh mi. Best Ive had. Hands down. The meat was tender and sauced perfectly. Bread had crunchy softness. Found my new spot!

It’s our first time and we greatly enjoyed it. The Vietnamese pancake, chicken boneless congee and the deep fried pork egg rolls were superb. We only have one wish- prepare Mongolian beef and the deep fried pork egg rolls with less salt.

Love this place! Seating is a little tight because it's so popular but their food is pretty good! Very affordable and always consistent with the taste and flavor. I would recommend but I don't want others to visit so I don't have to wait. lol

First time going here and it won’t be the last. Their prices are very affordable which is rare in Seattle these days. The service was kind of slow and our food all came out at different times which isn’t the best. The food was solid. You get a lot. The chicken curry wasn’t my favorite cause I like a lot sauce but it had good flavor. The sandwich was enjoyed by my friends. The soup was good with a lot of meat. The spring rolls were really good too and decent size. The restaurant inside was small but still plenty of seats when we got there. They had a lot of traffic coming in and out of there so they must be doing something right.

Green Tree in the Greenwood neighborhood (north of Phinney Ridge) is a no-nonsense homey Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant that is an approachable neighborhood gem. I found it via Yelp after visiting the Woodland Park Zoo Wildlanterns display; they open later than nearby restaurants adding to the convenience factor. We called when we were leaving the zoo; our party of seven readily seated upon arrival. All seven of us were happy with our food; the Vietnamese dishes do visually look more on point than the Chinese dishes. Service is also no-nonsense; separating the check was done at the register despite asking them to separate our check during ordering. We did have a confusion of an added noodles side that weren't specifically ordered by any of us. That was the one hiccup. Otherwise, all our food arrived in a timely manner. The prices are very reasonable. The interior deco is nominal. Parking is street only, and paid lots are nearby. The Food:Grilled Combo Plate, $14.95 - 5 StarsMenu: Pork chop, chicken, shrimp, and fried eggAll the grilled items are perfectly seasoned, same as what to expect for the typical vermicelli noodle bowls. This is a sizable serving of protein for those who like their meat. A side of rice is extra at $2.50. Combo Vermicelli Noodles, $13.95 - 5 StarsMenu: Grilled chicken, pork, shrimp, and egg rollsAgain, everything is perfectly seasoned and grilled. This dish is a sizable portion. After eating the spring rolls, I took about half home. Fresh Vegetarian Spring Rolls, $7.25 - 4 Stars Menu: 4 pieces. Lettuce, tofu, jicama, basil, crispy stick (fried wonton skin)The jicama and the fried wonton skin provide the necessary texture to make this vegetarian roll a winner. The flavor is primarily from the sauce. A good alternative to the typical shrimp and pork roll.Tamarind Soda, $4.25 - 4 StarsI ordered it mostly wondering what it is. They said it is house made. I am fairly certain that they smashed the sweetened tamarind snacks and added soda water. It is quite tasty.

Vermicelli bowl was phenomenal. Great authentic and casual Vietnamese spot. The menu incorporates a lot of pictures which is nice if you aren't familiar with the dishes!

Our group admittedly was planning to go to Valhalla for sandwiches only to find that Valhalla is closed on Sundays, so we found Green Tree and finding warmth from their comfort meals on a cold day. Ample street parking if you don't mind circling the block a few times, otherwise they do have a small lot behind the building for $5 for the first 2 hours. No wait time at all when we arrived. The menu is pretty traditional Chinese/Vietnamese food, including pho and other noodle soups and vermicelli bowls. The combo pho with meatball, brisket, tendon, and rare beef was filling, though the amount of protein did seem pretty slim compared to servings at other pho restaurants, and the broth did not taste as rich as I would have liked. Given the ample pho options in the north Seattle area, I'm not sure that Green Tree would be a go-to for me, but it was an okay meal at a decent price.
