I'm sad to learn this place had closed due to this pandemic. It was my first experience with real sushi. Not just california rolls, when I was in high school in 1999. I even remember the women who took me there. I'm still friends with two of them. And I still think about Carmen R. from time to time. It was her idea to go to Ha Na. Forever grateful for my introduction to sushi. I want to time travel to when this nightmare of a year is over.

I just read Hana has closed for good. A customer of 25 years i hope this isnt true. All the food, the wonderful staff and location is Seattle to me. My first visit was at age 25 and it made a big impression. The buzz back then was green tea ice cream and they served the bestHow can i live without their special preparation of chicken teriyaki so delicious adding sauce was never an option.Love you dearly HanaSave for Ako

Drove here from the Eastside after checking the reviews & hours of operation. The restaurant is under construction.

Can't recommend this place enough! This is an old school Seattle spot- I grew up eating here, and my parents ate here for years before I was born. One of the few things that remain of old broadway. Delicious sushi and really lovely hot dishes. No frills environment (but still a very cool sort of low key blade runner aesthetic) and friendly staff. Just do it !

I've come here for sushi and for their other dishes. I've been on the hunt for juicy tasty chicken and rice.....an upgrade to teriyaki chicken. Well I found the winning dish and what I've been looking for in this chicken don. The sauce and chicken is so good. The staff are really friendly and the restaurant really reminds me of neighborhood Japanese restaurants in Japan. You won't be disappointed and that prices are really fair as well.

I have eaten at Hana since 1985, including the first date with my wife and countless family meals over the years. Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. The Chicken Don is amazing, and the best value on sushi in the city. 5 stars!

You can eat delicious sushi. We had sushi assortment and hana roll, fried chicken.Sockeye Salmon is also included in the sushi assortment. With a tuna roll, you will be full. There is a lot of Japanese food, sushi, tempura, sashimi, katsudon,I want to try next time. There is also a traditional Japanese sushi counter. You can feel Japan!Staff were friendly and helpful. Here is bright and clean.

Quick and easy sushi that tastes delicious and is well prepared. The staff we incredibly friendly towards me as I sat at the sushi bar and went out of their way to make sure everything I ordered was to my liking for no reason. I had a great meal and a great experience here.

I'll admit that our original destination was across the street. When their waitlist turned out to be 111 minutes long, we did a U-Turn and ate at Hana instead. No regrets. Hana is what I considered to be a classic Japanese restaurant, with a little bit of everything - in a good way. Nearly all dishes were perfect. One category that we did not order from is their rice and noodle dishes at very, very reasonable $10-ish prices. It's early impossible to find a filling, hardy dish at such prices now. The single guy next table ordered a katsu curry bowl that looked amazing. Our food: - 5 orders of nigiri - Blue fin tuna, sockeye salmon, scallops - all super fresh and delicious! - 2 rolls - Samurai Roll, Chef's Special Roll - Both have lots of fish, rice is moderate. Thumbs up. - Ageashi Tofu - Flavorful, not salty, actually drank all the broth! - Salmon Kama or Collar - Lots of meat, grilled to perfection - Seafood Salad - This is the only one with a ding. The dressing was too salty. The flavor is good, just salty. Ask for the dressing on the side instead and dip. I was angling the plate to drain the sauce away. This place was mostly full, not overflowing on a Saturday night. I do recommend them.
