Holy S. The sushi here is phenomenal super fresh and melts in your mouth. I dream about the sushi. it's also located on Lake Union and it's just a beautiful area. Highly recommend.

Not impressed with what was being ordered today. We ordered a chirashi, Tokyo (sushi set - 8 nigiri and a spider roll), garden bento, and a regular lunch bento. The chirashi had a beautiful presentation, but the rest of the food lacked the finesse. Japanese food is all about the artistry, and this place didn't hit the mark. Before I even tasted the spider roll, I could tell that the batter was way too thick, and it overpowered the delicate flavor of the soft shell crab. As for the raw fish, although fresh, it's not the highest quality because it lacks the natural flavor of the fish. Not to mention, the "wasabi" that they served is one of the worst I had. No flavor, I literally had to use the whole portion before I had a little tingly sensation. Note to all Japanese restaurants out there: please do not serve Wasabi that are from a tube. Even if you have quality ingredients, using the fake stuff ruins the integrity of your dish. Just buy the actual Japanese horseradish and grind it up yourself.

Amazing sushi with a nice view of the lake. Can be packed at times, but the quality is worth it. Parking can be difficult as well.

The fish quality here is so fresh and not fishy at all. I got the Tokyo set which came with a spider roll and nigiri. The spider roll was crispy and a good size. My friend got the udon set and she really enjoyed it. I came here on a weekday day around 1pm and it was very packed! We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Overall I really enjoyed the meal but we were sat at the table near the entrance and bathrooms and the stench of the bathroom was very strong and off putting while eating.

I went to I Love Sushi for a quick lunch during work and it was lovely. My friend and I got seated quickly. We ordered 2 sushi rolls which came with 2 miso soups and then 2 green teas. The whole total ended up being $28 which felt super reasonably priced - especially for sushi in Seattle. For the rolls, we got the sunshine roll and the crunchy roll. I personally am still new to the sushi world and I get creeped out by sushi easily. The crunchy roll was really tasty. The sunshine roll was a tad bit too much for me. I think it was the texture on that one that I wasn't a huge fan of - taste wise, it wasn't very fishy though. It was just super soft and was missing a crunch factor. I'd love to come grab lunch here during the summertime. I'll certainly be coming back soon.

Review for take out omekase and king crab soup. I've had grilled mackerel here before and it's very good. Tried my luck with their sashimi... not so good. Many tough pieces. The scallops and few pieces were fishy. Wasabi is a weird color green, like neon, not very flavorful. I wouldn't recommend omekase. I expected much more more $70.... The kind crab miso soup has two pieces of leg but uncracked. Not thoughtful for the customer-how is one supposed to eat this with out scissors, etc? Service was quick and friendly, but food was a strong "don't come back for sashimi". Better luck with cooked items.

This is my go-to spot for chirashi bowl in Seattle! They are very generous with their portion and their fish is super high quality! If you go during lunch time, it offers a very affordable price. They have 2 locations - one on Lake Union and one in Bellevue. However it seems both locations are own by different owners and portion size is a bit different! The service is good and ambience is very casual!

My workplace and I opted to take a long lunch on Presidents' Day. We arrived at the restaurant around 1:20 pm, not realizing it closed at 2 pm. But the person working up front happily seated us, but warned us that since it was a holiday they were not doing their normal lunch menu so beware about prices and he even handed us a menu to make sure we were ok with it. We were so he got our table ready quickly and seated us. Our waitress was fast and efficient taking our orders, and our food came out quickly! I got udon and their tempura pumpkin sushi. The udon was great and the sushi was definitely interesting. I love fried pumpkin but don't know if I like it with rice and seaweed but it definitely wasn't bad! The waitress did a "last call" for us as the restaurant closes after 2. We ended up staying until 2:30, slightly feeling bad we didn't notice the time, but everyone working there was extremely nice! The restaurant itself is very nice, and there's a nice view of some boats. Would be interested in returning!

I've gone to the I Love Sushi in Bellevue for a long time here and there (and never wrote a review, go figure), but went to their South Lake Union location and was pleased. The Skip Jack Tuna of my rainbow roll was a bit disappointing and something I've never experienced in their fish. It was kinda fridge and fishy tasting.Otherwise the rest was quite tasty including the Gindarra (Black Cod). I didn't taste my dates Niku Udon but I heard no complaints. The O-Toro Tuna was lovely.Overall, a very reputable sushi spot with good selection with a price that matches the quality.8/10 ⭐Parking: Right next to the restaurant.

Great sushi! Good service.Parking: Pick one of their 6 free spots to save on paying. Otherwise the pay stand is broken. So I guess at your on risk for a ticket.

Haven't been here in quite a while. Upon sitting down at the sushi bar we were greeted by the sushi chef. Offered us a special for an appetizer and asked about cold saki and were told the most expensive bottle in the menu at $90. Then waitress offered same. Just seemed over the top and tried to upsell everything. Interesting that the sushi bar is blocked and you can't see the fish. It was a dark environment, clean and a bit loud. Ordered many items and enjoyed it all. The rainbow roll never fails to be good. The Ocean Alexander roll was even better. It had great bright flavor and the yamagobo root adds a nice texture and crunch. Covered with slivered jalapeños that had great flavor and not a lot of spice. We really enjoyed the hamachi and jalapeño dish as well. Not sure what the sauce was but it was sweet and spicy. We ended with a spicy tuna hand roll which was a bit too sweet for us, we prefer more spice. Overall ok, service was fine, food good.

An Unbelievable Nightmare at I love Sushi! On December 16th, what was supposed to be a delightful dinner with my friend turned into an unimaginable ordeal. After enjoying our meal, we were shocked to find a tow truck, called by the restaurant, ready to tow my car from their designated parking spot. The tow truck driver, indifferent to my plea and the fact that I was a patron of the restaurant, insisted on a towing fee since he had already arrived. Efforts to resolve this with the restaurant were in vain as the tow company refused to provide the manager's contact, citing privacy concerns. The situation escalated quickly, leading to police involvement. With no other choice, I was coerced into paying a staggering $385.88, a sharp increase from the initial quote of $250. This whole incident spanned two agonizing hours in the cold wind, a harrowing experience not just for me, but for my daughter too. Her tears and shivers as we stood there helplessly are images I cannot erase from my memory. This experience has left us traumatized. I am appalled and deeply saddened that such an incident could occur, especially at a place where we expected hospitality and understanding. I'm sharing this experience to raise awareness and hopefully prevent such distressing incidents from happening to anyone else.
