Our dishes were all quite tasty, but I only offer 4 stars because I and another Texan were judging for authenticity. Super service. A little loud atmosphere for conversation but understandable being Saturday afternoon. Priced like Seattle.

Went to Jackalope on a wet Friday night. Was able to get a table for 2 with no wait at 7:30. The place was was lively but not obnoxious. Waitress was attentive and friendly. The whole menu looked delicious. The chips and salsa were great as were the stuffed mini peppers. I got the smoked carnitas and it was amazing. My wife got the brisket tacos and, wow. Some of the best tacos we've ever had. The churros and dulce de Leche cake were also delicious. Would definitely go again and highly recommend.

Around Feb 1,2024 I ordered the fish tacos at 11:45 am so you’d think the fish would be cooked fresh. The manager mentioned they cook the fish fresh every morning so obviously they don’t cook it to order. When my plate arrived it looked lovely but when I bit into a taco there was just this little dried bit of fish inside. The other taco was the same. The manager who was waiting tables offered me something else but my appetite was gone.He did take my beverage off the bill but still for $20+ for two fish tacos I expect a lot more.He gave me a brunch coupon but I won’t be coming back.

Everything was five stars, the atmosphere was pretty much what I expected so hard to give five stars. Not overlooking the ocean or anything. Definitely clean and nice but the burrito was probably the best one I've had in my entire life. Braised beef.

I love this place and the food so much that my phone never ate first!! My fiancée and I went to Jackalope whenever we needed a chill & delicious night away. We felt welcomed, well taken care of, and like we were part of their community! We have since moved away- so please give Jackalope some love and devour their Smoked Carnitas!!!

Came here for drinks and a snack and thoroughly enjoyed both! The chicken quesadilla had a cheesy crust on it that was unexpected and delicious. Got a few different margaritas and they were all well balanced, not too sweet.

Definitely texmex with some variations of Jack's bbq incorporated. Started with drinks. The michealada and the margirita, but added mango. The drinks were good. For starters we order the chips and salsa with the chili con queso. The chips were pretty good. The queso was our favorite dish from the entire meal. We added the salsa too it and it was really good. We ordered the seafood enchiladas and the skirt steak petite Fajitas. The petite comes with a 5oz steak and 3 Tortillas. The Fajita meat had NO flavor and all the veggies (bell peppers and onion) were very charred. The bell peppers were so overcooked they were mushy. My partner had the seafood enchilada, which also lacked flavor. You could taste crab and shrimp but that's it. The service was good. Overall, wouldn't go out of my way for this place.

Great spot for tex mex in Columbia City. Friendly service. The queso, brisket, and chicken fajitas are highlights for me. Chips served warm with perfect saltiness, and the queso is so flavorful and perfect consistency. My daughter and I split the large fajitas for lunch and it was plenty for two people. Onions were grilled and nicely caramelized. They accommodated our request for half flour and half corn tortillas, both of which were served piping hot. The server noticed the plate of garnishes for the fajitas was a little skimpy and brought a second plateful without hesitation. We barely touched the rice and beans because the chicken is so delicious. Will be back to try brunch items!Parking is available in the paid lot 1 block away for $2/hour if street parking is full.

Everything I've had here is great and staff (Cole, Peter, a.k.a David Rose, Miguel) are so warm and welcoming. It's quickly become one of my favorite neighborhood spots.
