This restaurant location is permanently closed and is still taking reservations on open table, showed up to. Sign posted that it's been closed since Jan....not great on a Saturday morning.
Brought guests, Ordered 2 Prime Porterhouse, rare & med rare, tenderloin side delicious, tender. The strip side was the chewiest gristled piece of prime steak I've ever tried to eat. For an almost $400 dinner for 4, I will be a long time before I return to Jak's & never order this again. So very disappointed. I felt I was scammed & given choice porterhouse, not prime. I buy prime meat all the time and never chewy, etc like this steak. Music so loud you could not talk easily to guests, bartender forgot sugar in lemon drop. I usually write great reviews, not this time for Jak's. So disappointed.

It is with sadness that I went to Jak's after learning they are closing the Laurelhurst location on January 7. It has been my favorite neighborhood hangout for years. Please consider opening in another close location for those of us who have loved Jak's for years.

I feel that the waitress that I had yesterday she was very focused on the two tables to my right and I didn't get the same kind of service that I watched them get and I was kind of disappointed because I've been coming here since the 90s and most of the time I come there on my birthday and I bring two people and I've always got good service but this particular day I felt like the service was crappy

We are very sad that this Jak's is closing! We have been coming year for many years for brunch on the weekends with many different groups of friends! As with today's meal, we have always been treated graciously, had delicious food and drinks and been provided with excellent service! It was nice to be able to have once last brunch here and say goodbye to a great tradition!

Cold. So cold. Everybody was wearing their coats inside. Burger was undercooked. Onion soup too salty. Crab Benedict was perfect! Server was attentive and personable and she made sure we got lots of attention. Pricey for the quality.

As usual, Jak's Grill is great. The staff are very knowledgable, professional and friendly. And the food is always prepared with care and delicious. It's a great place. Everyone works hard and it shows!

We love Jak's Laurelhurst! It's been our go-to spot for a steakhouse experience for many years. On this visit we were very sad to hear that this location is closing in a few weeks. We are sorry to lose you. Thanks for the great food, beverage and service. You will be missed!

Excellent service. The food was extremely salty, almost to the point of not being able to eat it. We had the weekend special of beef Wellington and, it and the mushroom side were overwhelmingly salty. I added the mushrooms to my Mac and cheese, which had almost no seasoning so that balanced out. The lighting is bit harsh and the place is loud but that's to be expected on a busy Friday night.

Bartender made mistakes, reseated 2 times to accommodate a larger party, 5 of the 6 meals were undercooked (they did recook but that left some eating while others waited for their food), bread pudding was served in a cast iron skillet than had a horrible rancid oil smell(and taste), replacement cookie was like being served warm cookie dough, cream brûlée had a burnt topping that they tried to hide under sliced strawberries. Waitress was excellent, extremely apologetic and always had a smile on her face. With all our issues, the manager never made their way to our table to see what was wrong or apologize. Was not our first time here, but it will be our last.
Entire staff was really great. The food was amazing though it did take an abnormally long time for food to arrive -- kitchen was backed up even though we had a 5:45pm reservation. My only complaint was the restaurant was really quite cold, uncomfortably so. Our entire party of 8 thought so. Nonetheless, we'd go again -- just dress warmer!
The service was very friendly, but unusually slow. The wait for courses dragged on and on. The food was OK, but not up to the standard of the Jak's in West Seattle where I have eaten before. It was Monday night, so maybe this was the B team, but we came specifically for the Prime Rib which was Ok. We also had the Beef Wellington, which was also Ok, but not great.

The quality has gone downhill. For my last 3 visits the rib-eye (my favorite) has been excessively grisly where you have to work to cut around the gristle. I like salads that are lightly dressed but my pear salad had virtually no dressing and was not that flavorful.

Filet mignon, brussel sprouts with walnuts and anchovies, creamy potatoes!!! Delicious. If only my friend and I had been able to hear each other across the enormously wide table while others cheered for their football favorites on TV.

Really enjoyed a few of the new additions to the menu. We especially enjoyed outstanding service from James P. — attentive, professional, with a fun wit. And the new hire at the front welcome desk was doing a flawless job her first night in the role. Thanks, JaK's!
