We love the bar top here. The food and drinks are excellent. It’s great here because even if it’s busy you can get on the list and they will text you when your spot is open.

Food was really good. Tasted fresh and delicious. However, service was missing. Literally. It started with our waiter being impatient as we ordered. Food came out but he never checked on us again. We wanted to order more but couldn’t get anyone’s attention. We had to flag someone down to even get our check. For atmosphere we were seated in an odd location and then moved to a booth with some kind of support board in the middle. Had to move a bit.

Really unfortunate service all around. We saw our waitress maybe twice, and it would have been even less if it wasn’t for us approaching her. The one cocktail we ordered came out well after entrees had arrived, and two pieces of raw tuna took 35 minutes to make an appearance. Each time there was 0 attempt at any reconciliation. I understand being oversat and busy, but she truly did not seem to have a care in the world. First server I’ve ever met where a 10% tip felt generous.

I guess this is more about my personal taste, since obviously this place is popular. If you love traditional japanese food like me, stick to the raw sashimi. We ordered the popular Emperor's signature roll and chirashi bowl. They put tobiko on top of slice jalapeno on the roll. Totally kill the mild flavor that I love about tobiko. The yuzu sauce is good but also kill the sushi flavor. I think fusion is not for me. The chirashi bowl was okay, standard. I may come back for other dishes.

Solid place to stop by for some sushi. No real complaints. Seating felt a little crammed, but it's a restaurant in downtown Seattle, so it's not a surprise.

Great prices, happy hour available. The atmosphere feels high end and the servers are very nice. The california rolls are the best ive ever had. Also recommend the dessert and salmon skin rolls.

Sushi was mediocre - a lot of fluff not a lot of fish. Fish wasn't the focal point. Service was bad. I think just understaffed. Very loud.

Okay sushi in a great location. I think you can get better sushi pretty easily elsewhere in the city but the happy hour both has wide hours and extremely reasonable prices. Wouldn't come back here during full menu prices but could see myself getting lunch here during happy hour.

Great service, great food! The host was able to seat us even though we had a reservation for the wrong day. He was very accommodating. Our server was lovely and we enjoyed her recommendations. Food was tasty, great menu selection. Make sure to leave some room for dessert.
