It's an Americanized version. If ur missing indian food and it's the only option, I'd go there.

First time at spice wala and I am definitely coming back for the chicken tikka roll and the aloo tikki chaat. The chicken was marinated and prepared so well. Maza aa gaya khake. It was masaledar, chatpata and had the perfect tikka flavor. The aloo tikki is the closest to authentic Indian aloo tikki I have had in the US. It would have been even better had it been crispy from outside - the crispiness you get from cooking the tikki in ghee but at least the aloo filling tasted quite authentic. Also tried their lamb kebab roll which again was really good. It was quite filling because it had a good amount of lamb kebab inside. And how can I not mention the parle-g twist with chai. The chai has dominant cardamom taste in case somebody doesn't like cardamom in their tea. But the best part was that we were asked if we would like parle-g with it and who can say no to it ? Had a great time enjoying the taste of Indian street food. Thank you!!!Vegetarian options: The roll has 2 non-veg options (chicken and lamb). The rest of the menu is veg.

A cute Indian place with excellent service. The aloo roll & bhel took us back to rainy in India. Perfectly spiced. Not spicy yet bursting with flavors that even my 4 year old enjoyed it. The mango soft serve is a Must try!Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options

I love everything about this restaurant, it’s cozy and family friendly, food is delicious, smells amazing, and my to-go order was packaged to perfection. Make sure to grab their chai and biscuits to warm you up in the cold!

This is one of the best Indian food places around. Great service from the friendly staff and food was awesome. I have had Indian food on the Eastside, but this one takes the prize for quality and value.

Sweet little Indian spot for some amazing authentic indian flavours. We ordered Paneer Bhurji roll and Chicken tikka roll. It was a perfect blend of Indian spices in the roll as it was filling with reasonable price. Wish it had more onions or something for some crunch in it. Overall would recommend for snacks. Will come again to try their lunch/dinner menu.

YUM! Thoroughly enjoyed snack size Papdi Chaat, Kathi Roll Chicken Tikka, mango lassi and mango soft serve. Even my picky son loved his roll. The papdi chaat came with a sweet info card with instructions for how to add toppings. The toppings were kept separate for take out so the chips would not get soggy. The card is such a great idea!! Enjoy!

My bad. I should've added more than just a 3 star rating. About the food: It's ok at best. The Chaat was too sweet due to excess tamarind chutney. It could have used some additional corriander/mint chutney. Also the potato in the Aloo Chaat seemed to have gone bad slightly. On the brighter side, the lassi was pretty good.Edit 03/07/24 - The owner seems to be getting defensive when they get a lower rating and it's a pattern i am seeing across multiple reviews. eg. They just replied to this review saying "Next time ask for more cilantro chutney". Never seen this level of defensiveness with other chaat places. Anyway, i would appreciate if the place takes some learnings out of these reviews and implements them.

Food is costly for the quantity given. Lacks authentic taste.Aloo Tikki was like a home made deep fried bread potato roll instead of a professional aloo tikki.Chutneys were not authentic.Potatoes in Papdi chat were baked not boiled.

They kicked us out at lunch closing time even though we walked in and ordered before closing. We have visited many times around closing and never experienced this before. We might not come back even though the food is very good. We live 30 min away so the food would be cold on arrival. When I shared this with the staff member he said maybe we should have come sooner.
