What a fantastic no frills establishment! Absolutely loved the Reuben sandwich here. A bit greasy but we all wolfed ours down in record time. I got the half sandwich half soup (split pea) -- I was pleasantly surprised there was meat in the soup too. I thought the soup was fine but nothing crazy special. Definitely a fan of the sandwich and I'll have try a new type next time I'm here.

Second time was just as great as the first. The Reuben is by far one of the best I have eaten. Warning...it can be a hot mess, but doesn't that contribute to the flavor and texture and wonderful experience? MHM makes sandwiches with love and passion! Keep up the great work!

Came to this place on the way to the airport right when they opened. I was craving a pastrami sandwich and my hotel was a block away from here. Looking at the reviews it seemed like a no brainer. Im not sure what on earth seattle residents think legit pastrami is, but this place wasnt it. Right when I saw the cook throw cold, pre-sliced pastrami onto the flat top I realized I made a mistake. I was expecting house made pastrami like what you can find all over new york. For a restaurant that has meats in the name I assumed they would make their meats in house and cut it to order while its still hot. The serving size was the only redeeming factor, but it was like dry pastrami that you can buy at any grocery store deli. If youve ever had legit, fresh pastrami that is cut to order then you will be extraordinarily disappointed with the meat quality here. Just a warning to have the correct expectations

Warm, inviting local sandwich shop - I was living in Seattle temporarily and would stop by the shop because just the smell alone was so wonderful and enticing - friendly people who do what they do incredibly well - I highly recommend!

Stopped in today for lunch and got a pulled pork bbq sandwich, it was the best I've had since I moved from Texas! The food was amazing, the staff was so friendly and kind, and the atmosphere was so chill. If you're looking for comfort food in a comfortable setting, you can't beat this place.

This is the hole in the wall you are looking for. Pulled pork sandwich was delicious. Side of potato salad and a cookie to go with. Sandwich was easily enough for two light eaters but I was famished after just getting in to town. Service was great, very personable. Would not hesitate to recommend.

This is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life. The Reuben is absolutely delicious and constructed perfectly. The soft but firm toasted rye bread, the creamy thousand island and crunchy sauerkraut, melted swiss, and of course the amazingly seasoned and tender corned beef.It is a bit pricey at almost $20 for a sandwich, but it is massive and for how quality and well made it is, it’s worth it. One of the best meals I had in Seattle.

Wow, I was really impressed by this spot. I ordered the Reuben with fries and the sandwich itself was huge and delicious. I split it with my friend for lunch and it was perfect for the both of us! I would definitely come back, this spot stands out!

Amazing service and amazing ruben sandwich! This place is hidden in the far corner near the freeway but I will always go out of my way to this place if I am in town. Authentic and tasty, Great balance in flavors. I highly recommend this local joint with so much history.

Hot dang this place is goooood! Such kind service. I went here on a pastrami and Reuben date with my husband. Right after this we went to a different spot for a Reuben and a pastrami sandwich and this spot won the Reuben sandwich award. We loved all Blue collar works and “real” people in here. This seems like definitely the real deal as it can be quite hard to find solid sandwiches in Seattle.

Nothing short of SPECTACULAR! The reviews you read are real! Market House Meats is truly one of a kind! It rivals any NYC or Montreal joint, this is the real deal! The folks here are ALL GEMS! They appreciate your patronage, which unfortunately seems to be seriously lacking in todays society, and they treat each order as if it was being made for them. Be sure to use the “order sheet” when you arrive and then just take it all in! This place is just the best! EVEN the bathroom is nice and clean!!!! If MHM’s had a “frequent buyer program”, I would be signing up toot sweet! Enjoy!!!

Come here for the AMAZING corned beef breakfast sandwich and EXCEPTIONAL service, not the vibe ( unless you are looking for a no frills, mid-century style deli that looks like it might be closed). Seriously. We haven't had such kind and attentive service in a long time. Look for the giant CORNED BEEF lettering on the exterior wall.
