First time entering this place. I will be going back if I'm in the area. Love that they have samples to try all the flavors. Atmosphere is very friendly and inviting.

Little place in Georgetown that's great for a quick dessert if you're in the area. The texture and flavor of the soft serve was great, and I loved the flavors they offered (vegan as well!). Some reviews have noted that the ube is a bit sweet, but it balances out well with the Hojicha. Some tips if you're coming for the first time: - This isn't a great place to sit and stay. Seating is very limited--there are a few benches available, but they serve as more of a waiting area than a place to chat with friends. - The box option is one dollar more expensive than the taiyaki soft serve cone on its own, but it's definitely worth getting if you don't want to worry about spilling. It's much easier to eat, especially if you want to share with others. - The taiyaki cone starts at $8 so this is a fairly pricy dessert, and not really large enough to share between friends. You could feasibly share it with maybe one other person. - The taiyaki is more firm than a regular taiyaki, almost hard, so it can support the weight of the ice cream. Don't come in expecting a soft and fluffy inside and lightly firm exterior like normal taiyaki. - Flavors and opening hours change week-to-week so check Matcha Man's social media prior to going for the best experience.

Love this place so much! Such great options for vegans and non vegans - amazing flavor selection and everything is delicious. Staff are so friendly!

Great service, very tasty ice cream flavors, and the Taiyaki is incredible! Parking is tricky so plan for a short walk from nearby, but that's to be expected in Georgetown.Flavors vary, if you're set on chocolate you may be disappointed, it's not always there. Not great seating options, so plan to take it and walk around.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to get in

Yum! Got the Nutella taiyaki cone with ube/hojicha twist ice cream, oreo and toffee sprinkles. So good! Friends loved their matcha ice cream.

The ice cream was absolutely delicious! It's a cute little place in an accessible alleyway, the employees are fast efficient and helpful. To avoid waste, they gave away the last few taiyakis that were made but not sold for free to whoever wanted them (I took one). Really liked their variety of options (not too many, not too little) and recommend the ice cream. I will be back when I'm in the neighborhood. :)

Matcha Man is the third place I happen upon that serves ube soft serve. (What?!? Mind blown) Instead of getting the signature matcha, I forced myself to get the ube for a 3rd comparison. We ordered the taiyaki box to share, filled with ube ice cream. The taiyaki cone was filled with ube custard. For toppings, we were offered one each of Vienna wafer and Oreo (thanks!). The verdict: - The creaminess of the soft serve is the most on point compared to the icy Drip Tea and the very thick SomiSomi. - The ube flavor is comparable to SomiSomi but weaker than Drip Tea. - Theirs is the sweetest amongst the three. It took a few spoonfuls for this realization to kick in. After that, I couldn't continue. I tasted the sweetness more than I tasted the ube. (Note I didn't eat the Oreo or the Vienna wafer to keep my palette "clean". The ube custard in the taiyaki cone was a nice touch and tasted good. I honestly don't need it though. The taiyaki cone has a good crispy. No complaints. Their prices are the highest compared to the other two by about a dollar, which surprised me with a Georgetown address.

I had no intention of stopping by, but the smell of fresh taiyaki pulled me in, and there's always time for soft serve. Matcha Man is such a cute ice cream shop offering unique flavors, classic toppings, and perfectly fresh cooked taiyaki (the warmest, crispiest, fluffiest I've ever had). Service was fast even though the line piled up after my order, and the space itself has a cool hip and modern vibe. I kept it simple for my first time, but I cannot wait to return and try something new.

I was a little disappointed after seeing so many good reviews! The matcha latte and the matcha/sesame icecream were lacking a lot of flavor… The taiyaki filled with red bean was good though! More stars given to how aesthetic the place and food is!I’ll be sticking with other matcha places up in Seattle.

I went here with some friends and the girl with braces taking our order was so rude and clearly giving us attitude for no reason. My boyfriend pointed it out to me towards the end. I like their ice cream but I don't like how we were treated. She clearly was mad the moment we walked in and I don't know why. And she wasn't being helpful at all by how she expected us to know the size portions and everything. I thought I was in the war or something cuz dang, why the hostility?

Service speed is so slow. Took the lady 20 minutes to make 2 lattes, after asking her twice if my latte was ready she still played on her phone and made calls for another 5 minutes before making my latte. Their efficiency of 3 people is less than 1.

The food was good. The problem is, they have 3 people working. One person slowly making the food (ice cream) the other person named Ryan, on her phone while talking to her friends, and another guy hanging out with 2 other friends who did not work there.
