Nice looking place that sounded good for breakfast. Visiting from Denver this was one of the places on my list to visit. Walked in grabbed a menu and waited to be serviced. The two people that walked in after me were immediately seated and serviced while I was made to wait. After finally being able to order, I was told that my payment would be taken shortly, only to watch the same person that said that go hand out water refills and then walk to another seated customer, give them their tab, take their credit card and go and process the payment right in front of me while just staring at me. I got the message. Seems not to be a place to visit but more for regulars from Seattle.I felt that was a disgusting way to treat a traveller that simply wants to buy food from the business.

Mecca Cafe was open (on a Sunday) and within walking distance. Being a classic Diner, the menu could accommodate our larger group of 12+. The servers were kind and great!

Cafe was hyped for some reason. There was no wait that is good but the place was not kept well. Old rundown unwelcoming exterior Food was not at all as expected. Whoever had put the good pics up for this cafe please think again. Homeless presence everywhere.Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessible!

Went for breakfast and felt the atmosphere was quite dark, and uninviting. The serving staff did not promptly tend to me, and seemed more interested in communicating and talking with people seating at the bar. The food was prepared in a timely manner, and I enjoyed what I ordered. I just wish that I received better customer service overall.

Decided to go here this morning due to its high Google rating. Not really sure what the hype is after our very mediocre experience. Our waitress was unfriendly, and uninterested in her job. Hardly greeted us and took forever to offer us coffees / take our orders. Only 2 other tables with guest so the place definitely wasn’t busy. Happy she had the opportunity to continue her 10+ minute with some old guy at the bar. Anyways, our food was okay. Service was the worst part. We won’t be back.

Our first spot for breakfast said they served liquid eggs, so we had to try breakfast twice this morning. And the 2nd stop at the Mecca Cafe did not disappoint. The food was so good, and they Eggs did not require straws.

Terrible! Don't even bother walking in. It's dirty, dark and the staff are so incredibly rude that it will just ruin your day.
Mecca makes me happy. It's a dive bar vibe with friendly staff and good prices and surprisingly excellent food given the setting. Almost don't want to review it to try to keep it to ourselves :)

I appreciate the great food and the hours here. It’s open late on weeknights which is so appreciated when you want a bite after 10 pm. The food taste good. Its price is about what you’d expect for Seattle, but there were some surprises that actually were decently priced. Everything you could tell was made to order and the menu was extensive which was great for people who have trouble making decisions.Nice vibe in here too.Parking: No designated spots

The food was great, and they were quite busy on St Patrick's Day. A young woman seated us, and promptly brought us waters. I requested coffee, and our male waiter brought half a cup informing me that more was brewing. After some time, he brought a full cup for my husband, who decided not to partake. I told the waiter that only I was having coffee, so he just left the full cup for me. Bottomless coffee for $5.00, rounded up. When he presented the bill, he charged us for two bottomless coffees, and when I questioned it, he said that we ordered two cups. I reminded him that my husband did not have coffee. Apparently, this stressed out waiter whom I observed being rude to others, forgot what had transpired earlier, and he proceeded to argue with me at length, his customer. I actually gave up and said we'd just pay for it when he concluded that he'd take one cup off of the bill. He was quite rude in his handling of this matter. I mean, $5 is $5.
A traditional, typically American dinner
