I never had injera before. It is a bit hot and sour. I liked the bread tortilla thingie. The staff was super helpful and showed me how to eat the dish. The music was a bit loud, and the place was dark, but very clean and comfy. I am glad to experience a new bit of culture. I recommend this place.

The door was open but nobody was there when we walked in at 6:00 PM on a Wednesday. The tables were dirty and disheveled. We were hungry so we waited. And waited. We called out, "Hello?" because we could hear someone talking in the back. We finally got her attention and asked if she was serving food. She said they didn't have any food prepared and couldn't make any. So strange.

This is a great spot for adventure eating. The restaurant is not particularly lovely to be in, but the woman cooking definitely knows what she's doing! No menu, she just figures out how many people are in your party and brings out a big plate of food, whatever she's cooking that day. It was really delicious — some of the best Ethiopian food I've had, for sure!!

Finally got a spot at this super chill restaurant in Othello. Took a couple times to get in because the other times the chef said she was cooking for a wedding. Not a bad idea to call ahead of time, but no reservations needed or possible. We went on a Saturday night and my boyfriend spontaneously ordered some meat and veggie with injera...it was absolutely delicious! We weren't really sure what to expect, however, because they didn't have any menus. They did have a sick Eritrean music video lineup though. The lighting was reddish and the place had a nice ambiance with local Eritreans drinking beer in the back outside the restaurant. If you like a little adventure, you will not be disappointed by Momona (misspelled on Yelp). It's also the only Eritrean restaurant in Seattle, according to its staff.

Very sweet owner own this restaurant however the chicken that I gotten from this restaurant aka doro wat wasn't good at all and I threw it out immediately the chicken still had hairs on the flesh! Again I would given this restaurant 0 starts if it wasn't for the nice friendly owner or her adorable cat! Please do better you serving people food!
