If they have words for how incredible this food was they have not been uttered yet! Mind Blown!!!!! Came up from Portland, OR to visit a family member who is ill and stumbled upon this restaurant. Never been, didn’t know you needed a reservation, so we sat at the bar. Once the food came, I completely understood why a reservation was necessary. Anybody giving less than 5 stars is crazy!

Monsoon was shockingly mediocre, given all the good reviews it has. Service was unremarkable, if a bit clumsy (we were given the wrong check, and had to ask for some items multiple times). But the food overall skewed bland and sweet, which is not something that I have encountered at a Vietnamese restaurant before. We ordered the Green Papaya Salad, the Spicy Green Beans, and the Yellow Curry Wild Boar (and rice). The papaya salad was bland, lacking both spice and brightness. The green beans were not spicy, and so undercooked that they squeaked in our teeth. They were also disappointingly sweet. The wild boar was by far the best dish, but it too had undercooked wood ear mushrooms (which were crunchy rather than slippery) and turmeric overwhelmed all the other flavors.Would not recommend, particularly for the price.

Food was not worth its price. I got the lemongrass chicken, and it was 6 small pieces of chicken in a claypot that was super salty and it does not come with rice. A bowl of rice costs an extra $2/3. The drunken chicken was fine, but again comes with no price and was also salty. Expensive and would not go again.

Monsoon Restaurant in Bellevue is a hidden treasure! Kenny, our server, was a shining star, making our dining experience truly exceptional. The food was divine, but Kenny's impeccable service elevated the evening to new heights. Dining with my family felt like a special occasion, thanks to Kenny's attention to detail and genuine hospitality. This is definitely a restaurant worth returning to again and again

We had takeout. It was magical. Catfish was delectable, papaya salad refreshing. MONSOON 4 LYFE! Protein portions were small, but delish.

Great meal, fantastic options. The crab really stands out and the portion sizes are great. All meals were good for sharing and the Saigon Mule was excellent ?
