The staff here are really friendly. They were able to customize the sandwiches to our preferences. We ordered the grilled salmon and the blackened salmon sandwiches along with a side of fries. Both sandwiches were fantastic. The buns were toasted, the salmon was cooked just right, and the fries were fresh and crunchy. The sauce that comes with the blackened sandwich was also good. The whole meal was priced reasonably. I highly recommend coming here for the fish sandwiches.

Beware that they share oil between fish and chicken. As someone with a severe fish allergy, this was very dangerous for me. It’s too bad because I used to LOVE their fried chicken sandwich.

The food and service were excellent. It was a great price for a large plate of food. The burger was so big I couldn't get a bite at first! Only downside was it's a fairly hot day and humid so the restaurant was a bit warm inside. Totally understandable. The kind woman who helped us also expertly and KINDLY helped a homeless gentleman who came in asking for some water. She expertly got a to-go cup and filled it for him and was polite about it, then got him headed back out the door with no fuss at all. Nice to see some humanity nowadays.I will gladly come back any time we are in the area!Parking: We had to park on the street in paid parking because it was 3pm on a Thursday. We found a spot about 3 blocks away but ended up shopping our way back to the car so it was worth it in the end.

It's a busy diner atmosphere with good food. You should call ahead to have your name added to their wait list, especially on the weekend.

We stopped by on our way to the farmers market and had a great meal. The burgers were delicious, and the fries and onion rings were hot and tasty. The menu was extensive and service was fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend Mr Lu's for anyone looking for an authentic burger experience in the U-District!

Really fresh piping hot and tasty. We had Fish and Chips and catfish sandwich. It has thevasian diner vibe with the nondescript TV and Music. Best fried fish in our neighborhood.
