We came here in July of 2021 for dinner on a Friday evening. We opted to sit outside, in the small open air patio outside their main door. We had four maki rolls including the 1st Ave roll ($16), super spider roll ($17), paradise roll ($14), and tempura roll ($9). This sushi was fabulous! We loved all the rolls, particularly the 1st ave roll with the seared crab meat on top. These were true large maki rolls that stuff your entire mouth. My wife and young daughter and I all love sushi and can eat a lot of it. But these 4 rolls left us all stuffed and well satisfied. They were big. The presentation was also simple elegance. My only complaint would be the nearly 90 minute wait from start to getting our meal. In fairness to them, it was a peak time though. The quality of the sushi and the good value for price still made this a great experience. Highly recommended.

We really like this place: menu has a lot of choice, food is good, nice outside sitting, and price is very limited. Our place to eat in Seattle.

Came for lunch service was great, seated quickly without a reservation and food was good. Ordered the bento box and was a lot of food and tasty. But beware of the location and sitting outside. We had to ask to be moved as the stench of urine was overwhelming. The patio really needs a deep clean and more frequent powerwashing. Sadly this is the norm in this part of downtown Seattle. It's a shame because it's a great sushi spot.

This place was a hot mess and our dear waiter, Eggy/Iggy/Iggyman/Edgar/Egghead was completely negligent. My friend, Mira, and I had come here 2 - 3 hours prior to our flight. This is normally PLENTY of time to sit down, grab a meal, pay, and leave. Not here. We were told to wait 20 minutes which was ok for usWe then watched the host pass us over to Iggy while the people behind us on line were assigned to the original host. They were seated right beside us By the time our waiter, Iggy, arrived to take our order another 20 minutes had passedAware that the service was probably slower than usual, we put in our entire order. We only recieved a cold sake for myself. Another 30 minutes went by and Iggy and the original host paid no mind to our corner, behind the hostess podium; did not even make eye contact. At this point it had been 1 HR and 10 minutes with nothing but water and sake on the table. Meanwhile, the girls who were seated after us,, sitting beside us, had a full bottle of rose and multiple small appetizer plates well on their way to their entrées. My hanger reached another level and I called for attention across the entire restaurant 'EXCUSE ME, WE ARE HUNGRY.' The original host came rushing to our table and asked which host was assigned (boy or girl), we told him boy, and he asked to take our orders thinking Iggy never did, but he had. Iggy was just slacking because he came rushing with my friends sushi roll and some sashito peppers that looked like they had been sitting for a while. Instead of an apology Iggy said it was busy and that EVERYONE was waiting on their orders but when I looked around, people at least had their appetizers on their tables, and the girls beside us that came in behind us were starting on their entrées. We munched on the rushed appetizers while I continued to wait for my order which still had not arrived. By the end, another 30 minutes had passed and we didn't feel the need to fight to recieve decent service. I went to use the restroom and my friend asked for the bill because we had a flight to catch. Iggy responded with 'I wish you would have told me, I would have prioritized your order,' placed my delayed meal on the table which was visibly cold: I just went to the restroom, my friend paid, and we left. This service was absolutely atrocious. I haven't experienced this type of neglect in a very long time and I can't even give the benefit of the doubt that perhaps it's due to covid because other restaurants did not have this issue. I understand making the mistake but to never even have apologized and constantly justify the poor service was even more ludicrous. We were never offered compensation or a discount at the very least so we are now in the process of disputing the charge because that was such a sad excuse for customer service. FYI Iggy - we didn't need to tell you we had a flight to catch because we arrived with substantial time in advance where there was no need to rush our meal. If we had explained that we had a flight 2.5 hours later, does that mean you would have sacraficed someone else's quality of service? It's also unsettling to know that that is what it takes to recieve attention in your restaurant. Your service was unacceptable.

Wow! Nasty unsatisfied! As a tourist coming from a desert state, we had high expectations when eating sushi at one of the best city that serve sushi, but it wasn't the case at this restaurant. Our server "DUTCH" is the worst we had serving us. Place wasn't busy when we arrive and had to wait 5min to be seated. dude running around like a chicken with his head cut off. I ordered the combo B and pen cove oyster. The combo B comes with miso soup and when it came to me, it was barely warm not even hot and has no flavor like it was water down. The pen cove oyster was the worst raw oyster I have ever tried and their not fresh. I had to spit it out as it will not go down due to it being really fishy instead of tasting like the ocean with a slight saltiness. Who TF eat raw oyster with sauce that's sweet? The ginger salsa ponzu sauce for the oyster is GROSS! Sweet instead of sour. My sushi came out and it was not fresh. One of the rolls had rotten sprouts that I had to take out and the nigiri had no flavor and was serve very warm, it was disgusting! My wife and daughter order some roll and one of them was the lizard roll with unagi. My wife said the unagi was very chewy like they microwave the sh*t out of it. The waiter never came to check on us if we needed anything else. The only time he came to our table was when he was bringing food out to a couple who sat behind us. We all needed our water to be refill and he came back with warm water. That was the only time he came to our table. We are all done eating and waited so long to get our check to the point my wife had to get up walk to the front asked for our check. Our bill was $91 we gave 2 $50 bill and we waited and waited and had to ask another server for our change, and our waiter never brought our change and my wife had to get up a second time and stand by the front to get his attention and our change and the waiter assume we didn't want our change and pretty much tried to steal our change without asking if we wanted our change. With that bad experience and nasty food we didn't tip not even a dollar. Would not recommend the sushi here but probably the drinks are good. Don't know how tf this place that serve food thats not fresh get 4star review. HORRIBLE! there's better sushi spot. Avoid unless you want food poisoning.

This was a super disappointing experience. It took 25 minutes to get drinks, 45 minutes to get our food, and they gave our debit card to another table at the end of the night. We never received a welcome from the server or any sort of apology for the lack of attention and delay in everything. Sitting by the sushi bar, we watched every plate (including ours) sit there for at least 15 minutes before being picked up by a server. The sashimi was warm when it got the table and the cuts of fish were not quality. We also watched as every other table experienced the exact same problems we did. Don't waste your time, go to japonessa or momiji instead.

Our favorite sushi place, but the online ordering app they use is terrible. Bad to the point of them losing 2 stars. This is the second time I have placed an order for a scheduled pick up and the tome has changed, but I received no notice. I drove across town only to find that my confirmed 6:15 pickup had been pushed out to 6:55. Please change apps, I won't order from you again online until you do. We will miss you in the mean time.

I ordered a combo but the fish didn't taste quite fresh plus the tuna was falling into pieces. It has 4 stars reviews so I was really disappointed when I tasted the quality. Service wasn't so great but acceptable.

It has been several years since my partner and I frequented this Sushi bar but while on a date in the city we decided to stop in for old times sake. I will forever love the atmosphere and the vibe this place puts off and while the service wasn't great this time around, it was acceptable. My partner didn't used to like sushi as much as she does now so coming here was a different experience than it had been in the past. We mostly ordered rolls and then of course our favorite--dancing shrimp, and edamame. The rolls were delightful and so full of amazing flavors. I recommend the Volcano and Pier ##(sorry can't remember the number). You won't be disappointed. I should note it was a busy Saturday and they wait was quite lengthy but we were not in a rush and did not mind. I hope to visit again soon.

I visited on a late Friday afternoon, I was able to get a seat right away but soon after 5 pm there was a line outside. I completely forgot what the chefs roll was for Combo B, but it was very hefty and delicious, the veggies were nice and crunchy inside. Tempura Maki roll was awesome too, tempura still crunchy inside and once again very stuffed up roll. All of the sashimi was fresh and delicious. It is so nice to see a long-running business still going strong and making delicious food post-covid. Will definitely visit again!

Got a table for 8 at 530 on a weekday by walking in. Dumplings are not to be missed. Very good! Liked the first ave roll. Japanese curry also was good. Decently priced. Plenty of options for non sushi fans as well. Restrooms are down the hall and clean.

This is one of those places I'm very happy survived the pandemic.I had the teriyaki chicken and gyoza Benton box. It came with California Roll. Great tastes and good portions. (I was hungry so I also picked up 2 pieces of both crab and tiger prawn nigiri; yum).Green tea was very pleasant. (So was the green tea creme brulee). The staff is friendly. A quick walk to/from pier 55 and Argosy Cruises.

I was in Seattle visiting for a few days and wanted to find a place to eat some good sushi. I found Nijo and loved the vibe- it was in a nice area, it was really nicely decorated and great food selection. Sadly the service was really slow and we waited for our food for about 45 minutes after ordering but the food was incredible. Everything we ordered- the calamari, the sushi- was delicious.

Excellent Sushi! And drinks.

Food tastes fine. Service is terrible. Had some drunk woman come up to our table and try to sit with us only to have the waiter ignore us and start serving her table.
