Loved the service here! The workers were very nice and had samples of everything. They helped with any questions or advice. Cannot wait to test out their unique flavors of pasta. Their set up was nice and clear. Definetely reccomend stopping at this nice store front on your way through Pikes Market!

My time at this stand was a bit of a flyby since I was with a big group. The person working was very knowledgeable about their selection and made lots of suggestions for vegan options. The offerings here were not your typical run of the mill "special flavors" of pasta like Spinach or Sun Dried Tomato. Pappardelle's Pasta definitely stands out with their unique flavor combinations, not to mention, they offer vegan and gluten-free as well!Just to give you an idea, there was dark chocolate linguine, orange szechuan pepper pasta, artichoke lemon.... to name a few.The pasta that caught my eye was the Extreme Habanero Radiotore, complete with a warning about how spicy it is. The employee offered me a sample of the raw pasta and warned me of its spiciness. And spice it did deliver! My eyes watered and the pepper tickled my throat, all the way down my esophagus. I found my winner! Due to limited luggage space, I was only able to take how one tray of pasta. If that weren't the case, you can bet I would have brought lots more home!My phone had lousy reception here so I was unable to check-in on Yelp until I was outside under open sky. Be sure to Check-in if you're in the area because it gives you a 20% off coupon! I was bummed to see this after I had already paid. It's a great excuse to buy slightly more!I'm definitely going to order more from their online store after I finish this first tray of pasta!

we had the lobster and shrimp ravioli. Bought it frozen to prepare ourselves...not good. Upon further examination, ingredients includes IMITATION LOBSTER! Really? Paid over a dollar per ravioli, to cook ourselves, at home, and you're going to stuff it with fake lobster...what a rip off.

The younger gentleman who offered my friend and I samples, while wearing gloves of course, was very nice and let us have several samples. We found several products in our price range and had them shipped back to Connecticut. They arrived packaged very well and the products are beautiful, too. They are definitely suitable for giving out as gifts. I will be ordering more in the future to do that, but I'm keeping these ones for myself! They are wicked delicious!

There are some lessons which can't be taught, regardless how willing the student to learn, or the professor to teach. No one can prepare you for healing a broken heart, English food, or how to give stellar customer service. You got it, or you ain't. Where I grew up (Montana), it seems getting over a man is devastating---but only for a week or two. The right one is there, somewhere. Be patient. English food in Montana? Nah. We know how to cook without boiling everything to death, how to season food, and how to make a sauce or gravy (it's all in the roux-hoo-hoo, y'know). And as for customer service in Montana, if you buy something there you haven't had before, the kid behind the counter will explain the process patiently, perfectly and with a smile. And offer to come cook it for you. While still smiling, a mouth that looks like the entrance to an igloo. In Seattle, a city known for its amazingly polite freeze between strangers, finding someone who earns their wage by providing excellent customer service is like looking for the sailor on an aircraft carrier who shoves off a virgin and returns to port in the same condition. If you want to experience the rarity, the absolute pleasure, of exchanging money for pasta, head yourself to Pike Place Market and find Pappardelle's Pasta. It's exactly 45 paces from the main entrance to the market, opposite the fishmongers. It's also the tidiest, cleanest and most-organized of stalls in the market. That alone makes shopping there worth the trip through the skyscraper-lined caverns of Seattle worth the trip. Once there, you'll find pasta of almost every shape, composition and color imaginable, each one unique in its responsibility of attracting and carrying a specific sauce. If you're not certain which does what, the people behind the counter will happily assist (are they all from Montana?). This brings me to the subject of the review: stellar customer service. Young man Gozi had people gathered around the Pappardelle stall when I arrived. I kept my six feet away, waiting for them to make their selections. Then it was my turn. Gozi greeted me with a smile that, while not visible behind the mask, was obvious in his voice. He wasn't there to sell me anything; he was, if anything, a guide for people wanting to move their pasta experience beyond de Cecco and other national brands. All I wanted was something to hold a cheese sauce for my Thanksgiving side dish. Gozi presented all the best options, and recommended the Garlic Chive Seashells. From there, he pointed out the different shapes and colors of the Italian Pesto Blend. Sure. Two, please. Finally, the Lemon Parsley Mafaldine was staring me in the face, and was new to me. "It's our best-seller", says Gozi. "Who am I to impede tradition?", says me. With each selection, Gozi pulled pre-printed recipes for each pasta for me, and provided his own perceptions of them. What he has is magic, a "he-must-be-born-with-it" ability to treat every person he meets as he would people he'd see at the Thanksgiving table (on a normal year). Impeccable. Gozi, from which town in Montana did you come?! The transaction completed, I was given my receipt, and I offered my assessment of the entire seven minutes I was at Pappardelle's: "If I could bottle your enthusiasm and customer service skills and sell it in the stall next to this one, I'd be a billionaire." This time, a laugh, another radiant smile, and off I went to get a sauce from de Laurenti's, cheese from Beecher's and a crusty Italian baguette from Three Sisters Bakery. Sure, I could get any of those at the Fred Meyer store close to my home, and there's nothing wrong with the mass-marketed national brands. But the people at Pike Place Market, including Papparedelle's Pasta are The Little Folks we should be patronizing at every opportunity---particularly now, when they need us as much as we need them. Really, though, what I got today was my wallet seduced by incomparabl

The service was amazing here! We stopped by since they're giving out samples of chocolate pasta which was very interesting. The guy helping us was very nice and gave recommendations on which pastas we might like based on our preferred tastes and sauces we like to use. A huge plus is that they also provide recipes with each pasta they have so you have a baseline to refer to when you're cooking. I'd buy more if I had room on my carryon!

This is the coolest pasta I have seen! They are so creative! I am so excited when I first saw the chocolate pasta. The people are very nice and enthusiastic. It feels like they enjoy their job a lot. They also sell very good oil for pasta and bread.

If you love pasta this is the place to come. So many wonderful flavors from unique things like chocolate pasta to amazing flavors like artichoke lemon. I always stop here when visiting Pikes Place and stock up on carbs! They also put recipes in with your purchase. I also like that they have flavorful oils that you can purchase that pair well with the pasta.

Let me start by saying that I love good pasta! I"m a runner so I eat loads of carbs and pasta is my absolute favorite.I was very excited to hear about this place. I live about an hour away so it's a bit of a trek to go to the market in Seattle, not to mention finding a place to park and wading through the hoards of people. We finally took a Saturday trip down and made it to Pappardelle's. We bought four different varieties of pasta a two bottles of oil. The prices are very high compared to pasta from anywhere else. I think we could just about hire someone to come to our house and custom make any style we want for what we paid. nonetheless we headed home with our treasure and got right down to cooking.Without going into every detail I will just say that the pasta is really just ok. It's certainly nothing special. I would say it's more like getting one of those elephant ears at the fair. They smell so good and the excitement is high when you first get that warm cinnamon covered thing in your hands but by the time you get half way through it you're wondering why you did that and looking for a garbage can. Same thing happens when you eat Pappardelle's pasta. Why did I do that and where's the garbage can! The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the girl who helped us was so sweet! Certainly not worth the money or time.

I've always walked by Pappardelle's in the past, but today I decided to stop and choose something new to try. I ended up deciding on the Bell Pepper Trio pasta, which I cooked with their recipe when I got home. The recommended cilantro lime sauce is so perfect with this pasta, I was really happy that I made the choice to stop by! I also bought chocolate balsamic vinegar, but I haven't tried that yet. :)

My husband and I went to visit our friends who live near Seattle, so they took us to pikes place market. There I saw a stand with the most unusual pasta. We bought the chocolate and fancy fruit, both were delicious.since then I have ordered other pastas and have never been disappointed. If you are not sure what to do with a certain kind of pasta, chocolate, for example the website offers wonderful recipes to try. If you can not make it to the stall order online, the also have wonderful balsamic Vinegars and olive oils .
