The piroshky here is ELITE. This is a small business shop, not to be confused with the larger Piroshky Piroshky chain. I got a beef cheese and mushroom and it was incredible. The bread was warm and toasty, and was a perfect shell for the gooey filling inside. It was all hearty and filling for a quick breakfast. It's perfect for a grab and go snack, and they have a huge case of piroshky options!

Well, VERY tasty. The dough is fluffier and tastier than that of the similar-named cafe, and the sweetest hostess (?). I got 3 pastries to go, and thought I’d take a bite to try the spinach one while it was warm. Somehow it disappeared without a trace. Do yourself a favor, skip the more convenient one and come here instead

My first experience with trying piroshki was at the famous Piroshky Piroshky at Pike Place. I tried a few different kinds and found them all bland and terrible. Why would anyone choose to eat such a thing, this unflavored empanada pasty sort of depression embodied? Then Yelp directed me to Piroshki on Madison, and I understood why. This is the real deal, with an old Russian (or maybe Ukrainian) woman lovingly baking these from scratch each day. The dough is soft and comforting, but firm and thick enough that it doesn't get soggy. The fillings are seasoned perfectly. My favorites are anything with potato and cheese. Prices feel steep, but they're in line with Seattle prices, and the food is extremely filling. Coffee and espresso are Cafe Vita, and very solid for a mom & pop type of place. Desserts look incredible, but I haven't tried them yet, since I'm always there for breakfast. Please frequent this amazing local business. These types of places are becoming all too rare!

Got the Salmon pastry. Doesn't look or have the same texture as the store in pike place. Still warm and taste pretty good but the one in pike was better.

Really friendly staff. They speak Russian and make a large variety of savory piroshki. They don't sell sweet piroshki though.

My daughter and I read the reviews about Piroshki’s Cafe and Bakery and made the short walk from the hotel. It is a cute little place that had lots of delicious piroshkis and desserts to choose from. I wish we had planned to lunch there. We bought an eclair and a slice of Black Forest cake. It reminded me of where I grew up. They were both delicious and beautifully made and also reasonably priced. I love supporting family owned local businesses. We will return.

the food was decent. this was my first time trying piroshki. this place came highly recommended so i’m assuming it has good piroshki but maybe i dont like it. the bread was very fluffy and crispy. the bavarian sausage seemed under seasoned. also tried the strawberry roll. it was average and slightly more sticky that i like.the service was excellent. the ladies that run this shop seem very nice. they were very helpful and nice.the atmosphere was as good as it can be given the shop is small and inside a hospital. the place seems small, not a lot of seating. but the interior was good and cozy. the place also smells like good food.overall, a good pick if you’re in the area and craving piroshki.Vegetarian options: some vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: seems pretty kid-friendlyWheelchair accessibility: wheelchair accessible
