Great old school diner with reasonable prices considering the quality and quantity of the servings. Friendly service and good coffee. Absolutely the best home fries. Crunchy enough I couldn't get my fork in parts. Perfection.

Great diner experience. Got BLT sandwich and side salad. Both fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced. Good service too.

Best breakfast in the area. Portage bay and the others are just tourist traps with poor pricing and small portions. Ballard coffee sandwiches on 15th ave would be a 2nd option for drive thru local breakfast.

Came at 2, so close to closing I know, but ordered biscuits and gravy and it gave me pretty bad food poisoning. Not to mention sub par quality wise. The 1 am bathroom trip is not recommended all I gotta say.

I ordered the Fremont omelette. It was really good. Very large in size. The cheese was in one big glob in the corner not spread out.My big disappointment was cold toast with a big slab of butter not melted huge amount of butter. The home fries were very dry and almost to hard to bite through. There is no fluffy potato on the inside. They obviously deep fry their home fries and mine had to been cooked at least two or three times.Service was fair, our waitress spent a lot of time gabbing with the cook while our food sat in the window.I think it was just a bad day for the Salmon Bay Cafe. I know they can do better.

The restaurant was built in the 70s, and it gives off good vibes. It is clean and neat. We had the biggest omelets ever! The omelets were delicious, not much salt, which I love but stuffed with goodness. The server was nice, quick, and funny. She kept coming back to refill my coffee and smiled when we told her how good we felt at their restaurant. The price was good too. We will for sure go back again.

The cook hadn't arrived 15 minutes after opening. We were told it would be about a 20 minute wait and we opted to stay since there were food reviews. It ended being about a 45- 50 minute wait and the food was not worth it - coffee was generic/weak, the food was all very bland and there was barely any seafood on my seafood Benedict. We spent $70 for a very subpar experience.
