Excellent food and service! Fully exceeded expectations. Had the Bucatini and it was quite good and had a little heat to the spice.

I live in west Seattle where we have a few top quality Italian options. This place is worth driving across town to eat at. The appetizers provide an amazing opening salvo, so don’t skip over them. The entrees are small but top quality. The pasta can’t be beat and finishing with green tea tiramisu is a welcome twist to the old classic. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet. Service is great. This place is on the pricey side but still a good value. I’m looking forward to going back, but reserving this place for special occasions.

Was extremely excited to come and try this place out for a special occasion. It started out good! We got our appetizer relatively fast but that’s when it went downhill. Our food took a full hour to come out. (It was two pasta dishes. Carbonara, and risotto) There were two tables that were sat quite a bit after we had ordered our food. Somehow they got their food before us. The server wasn’t very present during our visit either, and was not by our table often. She never checked in to let us know it might be a little longer for our food, idk to maybe help the situation out. Then when I had asked another passing server that I was just concerned with how long it’s been since we ordered. He responded acting annoyed. Our food finally came an hour and half to an hour 45 minutes into our dining experience. We were eating or food, our server never comes to check on us and ask us how our food is, yet she attended multiple times to the table right next to us. We were finished with our food, and I had to snag the server to ask for our check before she scurried away from picking the check up from the table next to us. (Since she hadn’t even spoken to us since our food was delivered, and it wasn’t crazy busy.) Almost like we were being avoided.I really don’t think it’s a good motto to add an automatic 23% service charge to your food. Unfortunately I think sometimes that can make certain servers have the mentality they don’t have to try very hard because they receive a tip regardless. I will always tip, but 23% is usually when you have exceptional service and experience. The food was decent, but honestly this whole experience kind of ruined it. Probably won’t be returning.

The restaurant as a whole was very nice and a perfect location for a nice date for two. The tables were quite close in the main dining room, so at times it felt like we apart of other people's conversations. The food was wonderful, using seasonal ingredients. The only change I would make are the proportions of the dishes, they were quite small and we ended up leaving hungry. We spoke with some of our friends who had been as well and they agreed that the proportions were quite small.

Wanted to try this restaurant when we stay in Seattle. Very charming place. My experience of the restaurant was not great. Our server must have been overwhelm with a full section. I've witness a table whom sat next to us, a table of four waited 30 min before they were serve water and 1 hr before their bottle wine was open that sat on the table. Very slow service overall for us. Had to mind our server what we order a few times when the food and drinks did not arrive. My concern is a 23% service on our bill for a party of 2. Not stated anywhere in writing. Will follow up

The food was great, but the service was poor. There also is an auto gratuity of 23% which is taken before taxes are included so you get taxed on the tip, just an odd system.

23% gratuity built in to the bill for a 2-top table. High quality food and service. Beautiful setting, early 2000s EDM didn't gel well.

Gazpacho from the summer menu circa '23 was so delicious that it made me believe in true love. Now nothing else matters.Outside patio might be tight for wheelchair access.

If you're looking to impress a date, then this is the spot for you. Intimate restaurant with a very romantic and charming vibe. Eating here truly feels like a treat.I took some family here to celebrate a birthday and we felt so spoiled by the wonderful service and amazing food. Every pasta was rich and decadent in its own right and I'm very glad I went with a big group so we could sample more dishes. We also tried the bread pudding and tiramisu for dessert and we loved both but the tiramisu was the real winner with delightful sea salt flakes sprinkled on top to help cut the richness.Parking in this area can be a real struggle since it's primarily street parking. Your best bet is to look for a spot along Shilshole.

We had a pretty good experience at San Fermo! The restaurant is very cute and has a great ambiance. Our server and service was very good throughout the meal as well. We had a couple tasty cocktails before dinner and some very nice wine with dinner off of the reasonably priced wine menu. Unfortunately the food did not quite live up to the rest of the experience. We ordered a beet salad which was very overdressed and really just tasted of balsamic vinegar and nothing else. We also ordered a cavatelli pasta with duck confit that was quite bland and lacked much flavor at all. Finally we had a cheese and kale ( I think ) ravioli that was very very tasty. We wished we would have just ordered two of those. Overall for the price of the food we were a little disappointed in two of our three dishes. The service, ambiance, and drinks were all very nice though. We'll be giving San Fermo another chance to see if it can change our minds in the future

Would definitely recommend getting a reservation, we had one and it was quite busy with walk ins having to wait an hour (to be fair it was a saturday night at 7:30/8). Everything we ate was delightful. Honestly I expected smaller portions but was pleasantly surprised. Would 100% recommend the buratta, butternut squash risotto as well as the tiramisu. The host/our server was also very kind and accommodating. I broke my foot recently and spaced on calling them to mention needing accommodation, and he took care of it in under 3min. Not to mention he was just overall nice, and started chatting more as the night slowed down. Another thing I really appreciated was that they do automatic tipping which is cool and should definitely be more common. Great spot for a nicer date night, definitely will be going back!

Amazing food and amazing service in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Our server (and everyone else) was friendly, funny, and provided amazing food and wine recommendations.Parking: It's Ballard, so ymmv. There's a paid lot behind the restaurant.
