A super easy to give 5-star review!!! I dined here after landing in Seattle back in February, and it was my first stop. I met the owner, who is so talented and so sweet! I hadn’t eaten, and I got there around 4PM. It was the PERFECT snack. As someone who’s lived in Asia for 12 years and a lover of Japanese authentic food, this is the spot.I got the miso eggplant, sweet potato salad, miso soup, shiso potato, salmon basil, and wonderful hoji-cha. It was perfection!!!!After eating, I shopped in her next door market to pick up a few gifts for a friend.Go here for true talent, passion, and so much thought / love into the creations ☺️

Uncomfortable seating. Rushed service. And quite expensive for onigiri.

Only reviewing the onigiri. Was super excited to try the onigiri here but it wasn't good enough to come back again. I got a salmon basil and tuna mayo. For $6.50 each, the onigiri was smaller than expected and the salmon basil didn't have filling in the middle which would have been okay if there was more salmon or basil mixed into the rice but I only got one basil leaf sitting on top. The tuna mayo was okay, again not enough stuff in in but it was better than the salmon.Service was fast and nice so overall it was okay. Great for on the go and a quick snack.

The food was good but nothing to write home about and that price point was criminal. We ordered the weekend special box which had an onigiri and 5 sides for $28. Which sounded great until they brought the box to the table and each portion was smaller than the size of my palm and I could hold the box in one hand. Onigiri itself was alright. I've had better. I know food prices are expensive these days, especially in a place like Seattle, and I'm willing to pay that price when it deserves it but that wasn't the case here. After getting ripped off like that they're lucky to get 3 stars but the staff were so friendly and lovely we just ate it, left, and vowed never to return.

My experience at Sankaku Onigiri Cafe & Bar was a unique culinary adventure. The sushi, although different from the traditional, proved to be quite tasty. The combination of flavors in the Salmon and Basil roll was particularly enjoyable, and the corn stole the show for me, ranking as my top pick.As for the sides, the cucumber dish was a refreshing addition, though a tad on the sour side. On the other hand, the potato salad was a hit, boasting delicious flavors that complemented the main courses perfectly. One thing to note is that the venue is on the smaller side, with very limited seating. While this creates a cozy and intimate atmosphere, it might be a good idea to plan ahead or be prepared for a brief wait during busy hours. In summary, Sankaku Onigiri Cafe & Bar offers a distinctive sushi experience with tasty twists, delightful sides, and a cozy ambiance.

I'm really in love with the Musubi in Hawaii but this place doesn't even keep the Musubi warm. $6+ for each is super pricey. Service was also so so...

Cozy little cafe that sells onigiri! I got the Ume Konbu and it was good, you can really taste the pickled plum flavor. It's a lil pricey but it's a nice stop for a quick snack.

Super yummy onigiri! The owner is super sweet! Was visiting Seattle and had this place on our bucket list. Its a small little cafe located inside the Melrose Market. We order 4 onigiri (salmon basil, tuna mayo, shiso potato, corn). They had sold out of the ume and we're closing early, so the owner kindly gave us 4 extras for free! We got to try the nasu/eggplant. Every onigiri was huge with generous portions of ingredients. My favorite was the Tuna Mayo Onigiri! Definitely recommend stopping by!
