We will miss the amazing food and Chef Mitch! We are so blessed to have the chance for one last meal before Sawyer closes. It's still a sad news to see them go, but all the best with the new journey.

So sorry to see one of our favorites closing :( We will miss the amazing food, especially the pork belly buns! I hope Chef Mitch will find a way to share his amazing food again. Maybe a food truck?? Thank you for the yummy food and the memories!

Sawyer and Mitch will be so missed in the Seattle food scene. We are very grateful to have gotten to eat the once last time before the Sunday “last dance”. Kudos to Mitch and his staff. Best of luck in future endeavors.

Fantastic meal - everything was incredibly well prepared and plated, and the dishes nicely balanced familiar and surprising. Great space and enthusiastic, kind service. One of the best meals I have had in Seattle in years. I'll be sad to see this restaurant close, and I wish the best for next steps for everyone involved.

The dishes we had were varied - the tuna ceviche and steak was delicious; the gnocchi and fois gras mouse were average. Service was friendly and attentive. The cigar smoker sitting below us (we ate outside) didn't add to the ambiance, unfortunately.

Wonderful experience. The artichoke dish was new to us and I don't regret it. It can get messy but so great for our 4 year old. Steam buns and steak were fantastic. Fois Gras is a must.

It was our first time to Sawyer and we will definitely be back. The menu items may sound familiar but are rich and unique in flavor. We also enjoyed the family style format, high ceilings for space and privacy and vibrant crowd. It's a big space so it will be a little noise but the energy contributes to an enjoyable experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable, engaging and attentive. Overall a great experience!

This some of the best food Seattle has to offer! Not only that, the staff is incredible. It's some of the best service I've ever received and will definitely be back again.

I've now been to Sawyer twice and I'll definitely be back! Some of the best servers I've had, EVER. Even our water/busser was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, helpful and engaging. Inventive menu that is delicious in every way.

Took my family here for dinner based on some restaurants reviews I found on the web. I made reservations for the first sitting, and so we were seated immediately. It's a nice looking space. We ended up ordering the following: - Foie Gras Mousse - Very good. This dish was near perfect, except the brioche was so incredibly buttery that the butter actually overpowered the mousse. - Potato Gnocchi - Good. It was an interesting use of ingredients - spinach brodo, artichokes, morels and english peas. Individually all good, but the combination wasn't really special. - Pan Seared Black Cod - Very good. Rare to get black cod fried, but very well cooked. Good dish. - Wood Fired Sirloin - Very good. Well executed, and good flavour. - Dilly Bar - Not good. The bar was fine. But what they described as cookie dough semifreddo, was more of just regular cookie dough, so not very appetizing. - S'more Choco Tacos - Good. Kids loved it. Service didn't quite meet my expectations. Our service was OK, but I think I expected more in terms of attention and professionalism. Overall, it was OK. Food was mixed - some good, some not so good. I was satisfied with my meal, but felt it could've been so much better with a few fixes.

Great dinner as always -as opt to many other eateries we have been to since Covid -Saywers quality was as good as ever-and portions have not shrunk -top class joint -worth the drive from Bellevue

We came here for the first time for our anniversary and left feeling very good. The food and service was great. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back.

The breakfast was delicious and satisfying! We ordered the Potatoes, the Monkey Bread, and something with chicken and rice that we can't remember the name of. We also placed an order for a few beverages, including coffee, a Bloody Mary, a Mimosa, and a non-alcoholic beverage. Even though I have visited Sawyer many, many times, this was the very first time that I had noticed that our drinks were brought out after the main dishes had been completed. I am not sure if situations like these are typical around brunch hours, but I felt the need to point it out here anyhow. Regardless, Sawyer is a restaurant that I would recommend to anyone who is seeking for excellent options for brunch or dinner.
