Location and service were great. I ordered the swordfish and it was very bland. I do not recommend the swordfish. My date got the cioppino and it was decent....VERY sweet. I would not come back for the food, but I would come back due to location and service. I expected more flavor from a Fairmont Hotel restaurant.

Not quite up to my usual experience at Shuckers. Service was good, an experienced server who has been at the restaurant for some time The halibut was tasty but slightly undercooked— a bit too translucent in the center Major issue was the noise level created by a very annoying and loudly vocal person at the bar who should have been asked to leave. A bit atypical for Shuckers but enough to reduce the ambience substantially!

The food was delicious and the service was top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed the cioppino, halibut fish and chips, sautéed calamari, clams and a berry tart. Plus, Darla went the extra effort to ensure my family had a wonderful meal. Looking forward to our next visit to Shuckers.

Had a great meal at Shuckers before going to a performance at Benaroya Hall. The waiter (Chris) was awesome, checked in advance to see when we were trying to be done, and kept everything moving at a comfortable pace. The food was excellent, as usual, and the halibut on the fresh board was particularly good. We'll be back again!

I’ve dined here several times over the past two years and appreciate the excellent service and ambiance. I’ve been less pleased with the food which at times is lackluster and less than mediocre. A recent “miss” was the clam appetizer - overcooked and in a caper, garlic, fennel broth that was bland and overly acidic. The grilled bread unfortunately was half submerged in the broth and essentially disintegrated. Shrimp cocktail was good as were the crab cakes but the execution of both could be improved with better quality ingredients and a more attentive hand in the kitchen.

5-stars! Truly exceptional food. Fantastic at their specialty: oysters. You MUST try the smoked oysters if they have them!!! They are soo tasty (of course, only if you like the Smokey flavor). They offer oysters several different ways: fresh, smoked, and baked (baked is done three different ways). I also enjoyed my black cod with the lemon sauce and couscous, and baked sourdough loaf. Mmmmmm good. The apple crumble was okay. The service was impeccable. I really appreciate the ambience and that they serve wine out of the bottle rather than only bringing you a pre-poured glass.

We spent the week in Seattle for our anniversary and saved this spot for our last meal. Without a doubt, this was the best meal we had all week. We went to all the “best” seafood restaurants in town, but none compared to Shuckers. Drinks, oysters, food, and dessert all deserve five stars. Next time we come to town, this will be our first stop.

Everything about this place is great. I love stopping in on a weeknight and people watching while I chat with the amazing bartender while thoroughly enjoying my half dozen terroir specific oyster and a Manhatten always made with some too shelf whiskey I've never heard of. Yummmmm.........

Wow horrid service. Good was ok but cold and it said it had a sauce I had a drop. Would have loved more. Server never checked on us Drinks were empty and water too. Stressed we needed to be out for a show across the street - we left last after 2 hours !! At the end wait person said ‘ oh I forgot 2 of your items ‘ and it's for the next table. Also we asked for to go desserts ran them to our room and barely got to the show. Turns out it was NOT meant to go and melted. In the garbage. I just hate when wait staff never checks on you. My potatoes were ice cold sad no one questioned why we didn't eat them. Lastly they have tried to cram soo many tables. They are not staggered so the table next to use has to ask us to move so she could get out and when the table to the left kind of scraped the plate it ended up on our table. I'm sooo sad this was so pathetic.

Food: I had terrible luck finding a good oyster place in Seattle. I figured I must be missing something. Then I found Shuckers and feel like I need to look no further (but Salt + Iron in Edmonds is also dang good!) Ambiance: Being downtown, it's understandable that it's a bit tight, but the old building and the decorations make it feel homey. Service: Top notch, can't say much more than that!
