Absolutely fantastic! While there's plenty of good Ethiopian food in the area, Sunset Cafe stands out as the best. Generous portions, abundant meat and veggies, incredible spices, and reasonable prices. Make sure to try the misir wot—it's a must!

I had a pregnancy cravings for the meat combo and requested it today, but instead I received the veggie combo. I was disappointed by this and contacted the owner to inform her of the mistake. She lied to my face and claimed that I had ordered the vegetarian option rather than the meat. Even after I reiterated 2 or 3 times my request for the meat combo, they gave me what they wanted in a very harsh, unprofessional, unhelpful, and careless manner. Due to my dissatisfaction with them, I won't ever dine at this Ethiopian establishment again.

Wish we can rate negetive star this poor quality but too pricey restaurant. Food is cold and nasty. The owner is a witch, dishonest and unprofessional talkative. Always charges the card extra 10 dollar without consent…. I believe the owner name is Axbhet wat ever. Shame on you guys ???? try to improve ur restaurant instead of just talking behind the bars with bunch of drunk guys at house.

It's okay place to dining for some ethiopians tradition food but the down part is luck of parking.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. It's a no frills establishment if that matters not to this person who ordered the meat and veggie combo; it was so plentiful and delicious. The waitress was very pleasant, the music good...It made me so happy to dine there

Wishing the experience was better… my partner and I ordered tea, the sunset combo , shiro and some tibs, it was a long wait for the food and our server was confused and never brought us the tibs. We were full after the combo and shiro which tasted ok and received a hand written check with no itemized list. They processed my card and charged me 25 $ extra than was agreed upon making the cost per person x 2 more expensive. I pointed it out, they got confused and then reimbursed me with cash. I paid a cash tip and then checked my credit card bill a couple days later. I ended up getting charged an additional 5 $ without my consent . Wish I had a good experience as it was going to be our neighborhood spot

They got the best coffee and njera here. I would come again soon. I'd even take my friend here to show him what ethiopian food is like. They did a great job.

We decided to try this place out because of the other reviews. At first I was a little apprehensive because of the look of the building. However the Ethiopian food was really good. The owner should consider changing locations though. We had the Doro Begomen and the Lamb Tibs. Both was very good with large portions. Don't let the outside of this place fool you. The food is really good and service was good as well.

Delicious meat and vegetables combo plate

This cafe doesn't look like much from the outside. Parking is a pain and there is no cross walk, so you take your life in your hands to get there. But it is all worth it as the food is great. We got a veggie combo and a meat combo and enjoyed them both. I don't know enough to share the names but everything was good. The spicy beef stew was especially delicious, as well as the green bean and carrot dish. The server was warm and helpful and made the experience that much nicer. I'll look forward to going again.
