The French Guys is a cute bakery located in Capitol Hill. I visited this place during my trip to Seattle for some pastries and coffee before starting my day! We got there around 9AM on a Sunday morning. It was moderately busy and the staff were efficient at taking orders and moving the line along. There was a lot of seating indoors and outdoors. The outdoor seating is partially covered by an awning. The vibe of the inside is cozy and bright. There is also WiFi as well. We got the blueberry crumble, ham and cheese croissant, and the raspberry croissant. The blueberry crumble was by far the best thing we ate. It had a strong blueberry flavor and was not overpowered by sweetness. The ham and cheese croissant was also good and it was served warm. I was really excited about the raspberry croissant because it looks so beautiful and flakey. It had a sharp raspberry taste and even has a raspberry filling in the middle of the croissant. To drink I got the pistachio honey latte. The latte lacked the pistachio flavor but the actual espresso taste was good. This drink nicely complimented the pastries that we got. I would love to come back here some other time to try their other pastries. If you are looking for a cute and cozy place to do some work or grab a great pastry then this is the spot!

Amazing cafe! The pastries are all incredibly well done and accurate. I live in Europe and every French pastry they offer was spot on if not better. The bakers for this cafe are apparently both from France and it shows. The London fog was also delicious.

Lovely spot in cap hill, has both indoor and outdoor seating. Didn't try their pastries but bought a loaf of whole wheat bread, which is very good! When I visited, the espresso machine was broken so did not get the coffee I wanted. Cold brew was fine, will revisit next time!

The most gorgeous croissants I've ever seen in the Seattle area!!! I got the raspberry croissant and the butter croissant to go because they were super packed that day. The croissants are so so so flakey on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. Absolutely do not skip out on the raspberry filling! It was so airy and smooth with a perfect amount of tartness, 100% would recommend. I'd recommend going a little early on the weekends because I really want to try the almond croissants next time but they were out then. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the Capitol Hill area or just in the mood for croissants!

A true patisserie, they’ve got every format of croissant you can conceive, and the staff c’est magnifique. And when there was a mixup between two savory croissants we ordered, the staff handed me the right one before I sat down. The accoutrements & decor are beautiful too – this is a delightful place to spend snack time or a whole afternoon.

As a French person who lived in Paris prior to moving to Seattle, I was very excited about the opening of this bakery. However, after 3 separate visits to the French guys i am quite disappointed in their food, pastries and coffee. The prices are inflated & the quality of the food just isn’t it. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is extremely friendly & the location is darling but if you’re looking for a true French bakery, I would look elsewhere in Seattle.

They sell breads that aren't often sold elsewhere, such as canelé, and the breads are generally delicious. And I like it because the price is more reasonable than other places. French bakeries in Bellevue are overly expensive compared to the quality...

This place has great pastries, my wife had a veggie quiche and a spinach croissant that were excellent. Maybe because of this my expectations of the Parisian sandwich was too high, but it was cold with doughy baguette. I didn't finish it. The coffee is so so.

The bf and I checked this pace out right when it opened. We tried an array of things and they were just meh. Several things were underbaked. It was just a miss for us.Today I was walking by and decided to give it a second chance.Order: pain au chocolate and a latte. It’s still just ok for me. While I appreciate the generosity of the amount of chocolate, the pastry is pale and bready imo. And the espresso was a *really* dark roast which I realize is traditional but I’m a light to medium roast espresso guy. That said, the place is busy, full of people and take out orders they the shelves were still very full at noon. It appears I may be in the minority but I don’t think I’ll be back.TL; DR it looks like people like it but it’s not for me.

Lovely neighborhood bakery and cafe for a quiet bite to eat. I really love the almond pain as chocolat here because it has just the right amount of almond paste inside (most places overfill it).The mocha is rather sweet and not really the way I like it (hence the 4 stars) but I appreciate their collection of teas. The sourdough is rather good too!Update: we tried the zucchini pesto focaccia recently and I was not a fan because of how much zucchini was on there but my partner loved it.There is no service here in the sense that you order at the counter, pick up your food when they call your name and then put away the dishes in the tubs when you’re done. Nothing wrong with that personally!
