Worst breakfast experience I've ever had. I made a horrible decision-making in choosing this location to celebrate my birthday with my friends and family. I contacted them several times to make a reservation, and they told me that they do not take bookings for breakfast, but they agreed to do their best to accommodate us. That was not the case. When I came with my friends, it was chaos. The person in charge of seating the people was doing it incorrectly. I was surprised that she accommodated so many individuals in various areas without attempting to group us together. I know it was my fault for choosing such a location for a large party during this time of the day. But they were stressed, and by the end, they were rude. They overlooked the fact that it was my birthday, and the waitresses spoke to me in a rude manner, such as "what do you want," as if confronting me while I was attempting to please everyone. This is a busy location during breakfast time. We were a party of 20, and all of us ended up being disappointed, I think everyone understood the situation, but the service wasn't the best. I was saddened because I told my family that I would take them to an upscale restaurant and I hoped they had a good experience but they were so mean with me that they noticed that attitude from the staff and I ended up being so sad. I hadn't seen my family in a while, and I really wanted to share a good moment with them here. Sadly, it wasn'tthe case. I know it was also my fault, but I didn't like how the restaurant handled the situation.

We stayed at the hotel and ate dinner there early on a Friday evening. It was excellent. The Sunday brunch was quite disappointing. We weren't aware it was Easter. The first course options didnt appeal to me. But I saw a couple entrees that did. I asked if I could get 2 entrees instead and the server said no. So, I paid $75 for a breaded chicken thigh and a waffle. They were quite tastey but most certainly not $75 tastey.

The Met Grill had been my favorite go-to restaurant for the last twenty plus years, but I've grown disillusioned with them --inconsistent service, food, in my opinion, not as good as it used to be, the service charge, etc. (check out other Google reviews for more on all of this) So, I decided to give The George a try before a concert last night. From the gorgeous décor (on par with any fine dining establishment I've been to anywhere) to the fresh and wonderfully prepared food (I especially enjoyed the spring pea soup) to the flawless waitstaff, I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. I especially want to mention Brenda, our server, whose timing was in every way perfect and who made us feel both welcome and at home. She was impeccably professional, warm, and impressively efficient at her job. The grandeur of the space matches the freshness of the food and the service, again, perfect. (The hostess working the check-in station was also on top of her game; although, we obviously interacted with her much less then Brenda.) Looks like I've found a new go-to restaurant.

I enjoyed the George. For a 3 course meal that is slightly upscale, I liked the ambience and the price was not too bad. Portions are big to the point where I struggled to finish. Honestly could have done without dessert and it was probably the worst course. I really liked the salmon appetizer. I would definitely come again.

My friend and I went for breakfast here and it was perfect didn’t disappoint! They have a basic menu, but it had everything we needed. They had oatmilk lattes which is a plus. The waitress was so nice and attentive. I had the Olympic breakfast and chose salad instead of the potatoes which was so good. There was an upscale ambiance and the interior is very elegant. I would definitely recommend this brasserie to my friends and will be back soon.

I had the king salmon and the "Arbitrage" cocktail. Both were great as was the atmosphere and service. The George is located to the left at the top of the escalators, beyond the Olympic bar.

We reserved this place for a friend's birthday and we couldn't be more happy. Food was delicious and service was excellent. There was an issue with a glass of wine, nothing big, but they went above and beyond to make sure it didn't affect the experience. We would go back in a heartbeat.Parking: There's street parking available and conveniently, there is a parking garage just across the street.

The atmosphere was lovely as expected. However, the hostess was really rude to me, which was a bad start to my friend's birthday brunch. The servers were nice enough, and the food was only okay. Appetizers were the best of all 3 courses. I would go back try the high tea but wouldn't recommend going back for brunch.

I had the Tempura Cod and it was hot and delicous. The Spicy Slaw was surprising and refreshing and the fries hot. The cost was fair and reasonable and my guests and I enjoyed our lunch very much.

Second time I can't believe it we had a good food but we got completely forgotten It's so odd. We went for brunch and ordered right away. We never got our beverages. The scone cart came around which was very good and there was actually an explanation this time. After that we finally did get our beverages. I had to ask twice for ice water. Finally our starter came. Hubs ordered soup had to track someone down to bring a spoon. By this time everyone around us had already got their main. No sign to our wait person. Eventually our plates were cleared and another 30 min for our main. It never came. I finally had to stop a staff member just walking through. She assured us she would check. Wait person still never came. We finally did get our main. Everyone near us had got the check or dessert. Wait person still never came over. Other staff member did brought things like a side plate I wanted and ketchup. Had to ask for refill of juice and water. I think our food was given the to the table behind l. Not thrilled it took so long. Food was very good though. It's a little pathetic though 2 of my potatoes we actually burned black. Someone served it on a plate and someone brought the plate out still!! We never even were offered to order dessert. The person who finally helped did comp us one entree and I do appreciate that. The bad part this is exactly what happened in October !! I am so mad we went back I even told our wait person about it becuase I thought it was odd last time maybe we ordered wrong ?!? It's just a lovely place we had a great staycation but the service both there and shuckers was horrid.

Disappointed with this place for dinner. The space is gorgeous and I wanted to love it, but the food was overpriced and not very good.We ordered the ravioli, carbonara, cod, and nori bread. The bread was my favourite part — the texture was very fresh, crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and it takes like the little packs of seaweed snacks — unique and tasty if you like nori! The pastas were both very heavy, the ravioli plate was full of butter, and felt greasy, and the carbonara was heavy as is, but also had pieces of pork belly that were the only source of flavour, but too fatty to enjoy with the dish. The cod is the plate we had issue with: the member of our party requested that the barley doesn’t include chorizo (for religious reasons), which the waiter said was fine, but there were still pieces of it in the dish when it arrived. The server was very nice about handling the issue and mistakes do happen, but this was an unfortunate way to end our meal. Expensive for the quality of food.Dietary restrictions: They offer accommodations, but made a mistake catering to a dietary restriction that was called out explicitly while ordering.Parking: Parking in the area is limited, but does exist along the street. There is valet associated with the hotel

Bertram was fantastic and provided one of the best service experiences I have had. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and had impeccable timing. Most of the food was great, but there were a few things that brought it slightly below 5 stars, including the limited and somewhat odd vegetarian entree options. But the shishito peppers were the best!!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options were limited to two, and the one I chose was unfortunately a bit odd. Maybe the other one was amazing… you’ll be fine but it isn’t somewhere a group of vegetarians should go if only due to the limitations. My partner had seafood and it was apparently amazing though.

At The George, the ambiance and service lived up to expectations, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, the culinary experience was somewhat inconsistent. The scallops stood out as exceptional, truly a highlight, but the bone marrow, though delicious, was disappointingly scant, offering barely a bite amidst a surplus of mushrooms and bread. The Steak Frites was merely satisfactory, and I found myself leaving the fries untouched, wishing for an alternative potato accompaniment. On a brighter note, the lobster served with the steak did impress. The deep-fried mushrooms were passable but failed to wow. Overall, the meal felt more like an upscale American lunch than the fancy dinner I had anticipated. Given our previous delightful experiences at The George, I remain optimistic about their capabilities. I'll be looking forward to the next menu refresh before planning another visit.
