The tacos were awesome!! The service was welcoming, cheery, and helpful. I was there super early because of jet lag but I’m sure the vibes would have been good too when there was more people. Highly recommend!

Best. Fries. I've. Ever. Had! The Yard Cafe was a great spontaneous stop for lunch today. I was surprised that I couldn't find fries on the menu, but delighted to learn that not only do they exist, but they are SUPERB!! The burger was great, too! My wife's plate was fantastic as well! We will definitely be coming back here many times!

Bad beef in the burger. Had that musty smell and flat flavor.

Wish they'd bring back the queso fundido with Chorizo. Had their torta for dinner. Bread was not great. Kind of stale, not toasted and just in general fell apart.

We ordered chips, salsa, guacamole, tacos. I liked the shrimp tacos the best, but the fish and duck ones were good too. I got a hot toddy which was excellent.Servers were helpful but not always there when you needed them.Atmosphere is trendy, but a little cold, but was probably just right after a drink. Good place for a date night or to meet up with friends before aTaproot play.Parking is a little harder to get but you can get it on side streets. I probably wouldn't bring kids just because it's a pub atmosphere, but I'm sure you could. There were vegetarian options clearly marked.

Comfortable neighborhood place. The booths were big, and it was chilly if you weren't sitting right below the heater (and it was 49 degrees out). I was surprised it was a menu keaning to Mexican flavors. I did enjoy my chicken taco salad wrap. Though it had a lot of sauce. Had to eat it with knife and fork. Asked for crispy fries, and they were nice and brown. But still soft and bendy. My friend had a veg bowl, which was actually a plate. Lots of beans, but she seemed to like it. Had good service.

Someone else described this place as being served in someone's back yard with a smile! I couldn't agree more. Although I only had a margarita here and need to return for food, I still had a great experience. My margarita was scrumptious, and not too pricey, and the server was very sweet and attentive. I loved the outdoor area and the indoor area didn't look bad either! This would be a cute spot for a date night or to catch up with friends, and it is within walking distance of a lot of other great spots!

AVOID THIS PLACEEdible food (edible but nothing more) tainted by the absolute worst service I've ever experienced! Waiter couldn't give me a straight answer when I asked if the food was authentic Mexican (it's not). Then the waiter called me ma'am (I'm not), got extremely awkward when I corrected them for misgendering me, talked over me about to tell them my order to tell me they'd come back in a minute for my order... then asked the table next to me TWICE if they needed anything before finally coming to ask for my order after about 20ish minutes [I had the menu closed on the edge of the table and tried to get their attention during this time but was ignored so they could go stand behind the bar and text on their phone].Honestly wish I would have left considering how DISRESPECTFUL the bartender/waiter was. Even when I lived in the Midwest I have NEVER felt so awful and disrespected for being a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community as the waiter here made me feel.Honestly I will never come back to this place after this awkward and awful experience. I am becoming more and more convinced that anyone leaving a 5 star review on this place is delusional and/or paid to do so.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. It's a bar.

The food, ambiance and service were great. Very different menu items. A must try at least for the good coffee they serve.

This place used to be great! I came here often for years but hadn't been back since Covid. I see in other reviews here that ownership changed, which makes sense now. You'll get an average beer list where you can pay $8.5-$9 for a pint of beer from a local brewery. The tacos are now $8-$12 each and come on cold store-bought tortillas. The chips appear to still be house-made but are stale. The guacamole used to be great but was pretty bad too. The specials had French onion soup and my wife ordered that and it was served in a beer mug. I really wish I took a picture, it was pretty sad but funny. Seriously, even at $5 each these tacos would be insulting. I'm just really disappointed. This was a great spot that I used to enjoy and now there's literally nothing left. There are plenty of other good spots in greenwood, don't bother with the yard. RIP

The food was great except the chicken thighs which were somehow very dry. I got a replacement and it was also very dry so I have to assume they bake them first which is unfortunate. The rest of the food was great.

Indoor seating is limited, and giant doors open to the outside made the space cold. Two staff members walked past me while I stood in the doorway next to the "wait to be seated" sign. After five minutes I walked out.
