As a first timer, if I can give it a zero out of five, that would be more accurate.First of all on a Saturday evening when it’s nice out, you would think it would have a crowd inside, but no, there were only two other customers. Also, they don’t have a cook on Saturday nights?? That’s very odd don’t you think? But most importantly, I ordered the simplest drink: Vodka pineapple in a short glass. I asked if he had pineapple he said yes. He then yelled for us to come get our drinks from the bar of which my partner went up and grab the drinks brought it back and my drink was vodka and something else. After taking a test, it was soda, water and vodka.I drink it because I’m not typically the person that wants to make a scene. However, when we got up to pay and leave Which by the way, a small beer and a small vodka, whatever drink was $20… I asked him “did you not have pineapple?” And his response was “ Oh no, we were out” I then said “ This is not a drink I would’ve ordered” And all he said was “oh… sorry”The fact that he didn’t come over and tell me they were out of pineapple juice before making me another drink. I would not have ordered the drink. He gave me in the first place I really don’t like soda water, and imagine soda water with vodka… Absolutely no flavor.I have never in my life just pouring a completely different drink because they were out of some thing he could’ve come over and shared with me that they were out of pineapple juice… Is it there? He was frustrated that we didn’t order anything else and the fact that he had to walk over to our table versus us coming up to the bar.I would love management would contact me about this employee. I will not be returning, but I feel like this is something that he needs to be trained on.

Taco Tuesday is rad, the flatliner rules and there's real hardwood BBQ on Sundays.

The fresh grapefruit vodka — a real thirst quencher

This is a great bar. It's too clean to be a real "dive bar", but it is down to earth and not pretentious. Taco Tuesdays are busy. Arrive early. Get the tots.

This is a great local spot! The staff is very nice, the menu (both drink and food) is simple but well done, and the atmosphere is a nostalgia filled and dark. They have a stack of VHS tapes, games to play, and a pinball machine in the back. I love it here!

Stopped in for a drink and to enjoy the a/c. Old school Seattle bar with posters from bands and venues ....and Burt!!. Haven't eaten there in a while, but I recall basic pub food in plastic baskets. Good drinks and beer selection.

Have not been here in ages, but this place absolutely holds true to how it's been. Great environment, great burgers, great drinks, all the good (great?) things. Will hopefully continue to visit this gem for ages to come.

Super loud and crowded. Limited menu. Understaffed.

One of my favorite bars in Ballard! The grilled cheese & tots are the go-to, but taco Tuesday and spaghetti Wednesdays are awesome too. Honesty some of the best bar food in all of Seattle. The bartenders & cooks are so nice and really make you feel welcome. Anytime I have someone visiting from out of town, I bring them here!
