I was pretty disappointed that everyone kept keeping tabs on me for bringing my laptop in. The sign they put that rule on (no laptops Friday through Sunday) was on a 2" sign hidden behind the table decor on my specific table. I don't mind following rules, but...I ordered my food IN so I could sit anyway, and the girls next to me ordered coffees to go. They sat on their phones for 30mins, which is no different from a laptop whatsoever, and I had actually walked all the way there specifically to eat while I worked for a bit. No more than 45mins, and people had still been sitting at the same tables since I walked in until the time I left. It isn't a revolving door Cafe of any kind...so I'm pretty upset that I was singled out for nothing when the commonplace is bringing your laptop to...a cafe. The rule itself just doesn't make sense to me.The avocado toast was also basically a full avocado with a little seasoning on top. (This is a neutral point though, some people really like that, it was just way too much for me and some people might want that heads up.) The chocolate chip cherry cookie is super good, and decent size, although I didn't realize it was $5.Location wise it's a couple blocks from the park, so the atmosphere was different, but still good. Overall 3*.

Their menu in the recent past featured "Israeli" couscous salad. There is no such thing as "israeli" cuisine, they stole everything they have from Palestinians. There's no excuse to support a business who sides with an illegal settler colonial apartheid state, plenty other options in Seattle that dont agree with genocide!

Always busy, so it can be hard to get a table. But that's because it's SO GOOD!!

Food is amazing, coffees are delicious. Service is so friendly and the place is spotless. It’s like something out of a dream honestly. How lucky are we to have a cafe like this in Seattle?!?

$15 for a very mediocre breakfast sandwich $17 if you add 2 strips of limp bacon. You can do better. Skip it.

Walked 2 miles to try this place and showed up more than an hour before closing but for some reason they closed more than an hour early. They didn’t even have water we could have. I think the workers just wanted to get off early because it was sunny. Shame on you, won’t be back.

On the pricier side (who can afford not to be these days, really?), but a gem.

TDLR; great spot to have a light meal, it doesn’t get crowded very quickly - so go early.I’ve been here multiple times and have ordered a few different things - avocado toast, the Matilda chocolate cake, tomato pepper soup and a bunch of coffees. I’m generally quite happy with the quality of the food here, and their coffee to great too.You do have to order at the counter and then find a table, which can sometimes get very messy and awkward given how full this place gets.

Honestly, I don't see the appeal.1. They have exactly two different brunch dishes: Breakfast sandwich or Yogurt. That's it. Yes, they have pastries, but no other prepared-to-order food.2. Counter service. Yes, I get it, it's easier and cheaper, but given the size of the place (six tables), it just seems lazy.3. When I entered, I saw a table empty, and assumed (poorly) that I would be able to sit there, since I was the only person ready to order. Boy, was I mistaken. Apparently the woman at the table next to the empty table decided her party needed the table I'd spied, and merged it to hers. So I had to "sit outside" - it was cold and had rained recently, so this meant, "stand outside and take your food home, because we don't have a table for you."Overall, a poor experience for middling food and almost no food choice. Not happy, not coming back.

The $15 breakfast bagel was pretty righteous. Minced up bacon, everything delicate crispy and tender. Pair it with two $5 drinks and it's $40 before tax and tip. We had to sit outside at picnic tables in the rain. Everyone inside was dwelling hard. I don't get the pantry aspect - a clear windowed liquor store fridge with maybe 5 or 6 different items. The place just felt pretentious to me. Damn good $15 though. The pastry items looked good too, the coffee cake specifically. I knew when I left that I'd never be back and that I should have gotten it on the way out while I had the chance.

Iconic spot and the new owners have done a nice job of keeping the feel and elevating their food. Just a cool neighborhood spot you should visit.Parking: It's in a neighborhood and so there is a chance you might have to walk a block or so at the busiest of times.
