Today, I finally branched out from my usual order at Watson's (honey butter chicken wings and waffle + a latte) and tried some of the fan favorites I always see other people raving about: the orangey mocha and fruity pebbles french toast.Guys, the hype is real. I don't think I'm ever going back after that orangey mocha. The cereal french toast is great too, huge slices! (if you're looking to come and have several dishes including this, I recommend getting just the single slice or splitting an order to have room—or just have leftovers!)Btw, before today, my partner and I have only ever come here for brunch reservations or the occasion take-out lunch. But our Internet went down this week, so we've been café hopping since we work from home and need working WiFi. Watson's Counter is a great spot to hang out for the day. Plenty of seating, outlets and WiFi, awesome vibes inside and nice big windows with neighborhood views. The staff are so sweet too. Coffee and french toast for breakfast + fried chicken sandwich and fries for lunch = a pretty perfect day. I think Watson's just became our go-to spot for whenever we want to work outside the house.

We called ahead and asked what the wait time was for a party of 5 on a Sunday ~1pm, the person who answered the phone was extremely vague and couldn't give us an estimated wait time - luckily we were able to get seated right away!Chicken and waffles (gochujang and honey butter) : ⭐⭐⭐Fried chicken wings were tender and juicy, but the gochujang sauce was a little overpowering. The honey butter was more balanced. The waffles were a bit dry.KBBQ plate (bossam): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ yummy! the different kimchis were great. You can pay extra greens to make wraps. Personally my favorite thing I tried.Loco Moco: ⭐⭐⭐ Solid but didn't stand out.French fries: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ nicely seasoned and fluffy inside, the ketchup and aioli were both good.A little expensive for what it is, but overall quite solid! I'd come back just for the bossam :)

Made a reservation here. It got off to a good start, server came quickly and took our drink orders. We didn’t see that particular server the rest of the outing.I got an orange mimosa. They cost $11. The mimosa was tiny but it was very good. See pictures. We placed an order for chicken and waffles. It took 15 min to come out to the table. The chicken was good, but the waffle was dry and flavorless despite looking good. With the high prices on the menu, we thought that they were giving fair server wages, but no. On top of the already high prices for small portions, they also automatically charge an 18% gratuity.

We came in for brunch on a Sunday. We ordered drinks and food, and waited 30 minutes for our food to be served. While the food itself was okay, the food was already cold or at best room temperature (imagine cold fried chicken and waffle) when it’s served. Worse, 15 minutes into eating the server placed our check on the side and asked us if we wanted a box to go, but we were clearly still working on the food. When we proceeded to pay, we also realized that they gave us a bill from another table that was more expensive than what we ordered. After clarifying with them and paying, we sat there to just finish the last sips of coffee when the owner (?) came up and took away our plates, rushing us out because ‘they have another reservation in 5 minutes’. Note that this was only 25 minutes into our eating, and other tables that started eating before us were still working on their food. Overall, we were very disappointed given the high reviews and probably won’t be returning.

The food here is amazing - their loco moco is a unique spin on the original dish and was best served with a side of kimchi. Small place so reservations are probably advised for brunch.

Wasted $40 on a meal I couldn't eat.I ordered the poutine. Waiter said it came with kimchi. Both were too salty to finish. And they charged extra $7 for the kimchi.I want my money back.

You will be hard-pressed to find a place in Seattle with both a coffee AND a food program that are equally incredible. This might be my favorite spot in this city, and if you haven't been here you're missing out. The chicken sandwich might be the best in town, and you can't find a single thing on the menu that isn't excellent. Get a reservation for weekend brunch, or just stop by and get a coffee to-go. Be warned: once you go here, you won't be able to stop.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Get the mushroom Eggs Benedict!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options

coffee is really good. fruity pebble french toast tastes more like bread that has fruity pebbles inside... its pretty dry and thick.. not much french in the french toast. kbbq pork plate has too much fat compared to meat, and the cabbage kimchi was really salty rather than sour/spicy? I really liked the radish and apple kimchi though. the ssamjang sauce was also tasty too.i have mixed feelings about the things i ate but the service was good and im actually curious to go back and try more dishes.

10/10. Undoubtedly the best coffee in Ballard, and probably the city as a whole. Food is great. Service is immaculate. Folks are kind and caring.Loco Moco is my fav dish. Fried chicken sandwich is a great #2. Eggs Benny and k poutine are also baller. You really can't go wrong.Reservations are needed mid mornings on the weekends, can probably go without a reservation during the week or at open on the weekends.Fair warning they include 18% gratuity automatically on the bill (which I don't mind as it's great service and well earned)

I’ve tried to order from here 3 times but can never justify the price, plus the added gratuity. That’s a lot for a coffee and a piece of toast. If it’s going to be that expensive, sell me on it. Are your toasts dipped in gold? Are your coffee beans hand picked from the rainforest? Being forced to tip before I even walk in the door, catch a vibe, or taste my food is a no from me.

I got the chicken and waffle with gochujang sauce and an orangey mocha. The mocha was pleasant to drink. It was soothing all with a hint of orange that wasn't overpowering. While the chicken and waffle was delicious, I will say it was difficult to eat without getting my hands messy since you are given chicken wings. Otherwise the sauce was a great combination with the waffle and chicken.
