update: still my favorite place in Shelton. It has been almost 2 years since I was last here, and since we were in the area today, we thought we'd pop in for some dinner. I got my old standby, and my copycat boyfriend got the same: carnitas wet burritos, and holy cow it was so good! Excellent food and service. Nothing fancy. The menu is on the wall. Order at the counter they bring the food to your table.. they have some outdoor tables as wel, very nice when the weather is cooperating. The food is delicious. Very authentic. For me a much better alternative and experience than the local Mexican food trucks.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly

It was a toss-up between burgers and Mexican food. Las Palmas was well rated and we hadn't been here yet. We were impressed, not a great look from the parking lot, but obviously the locals like it. Our Enchiladas and Carnitas plate were ready quickly, they were served hot and we got extra salsa - everything was tasty and the servings were large. We'll be back here when we come through town.
