I want to start by saying that my husband and I have tried multiple Gyro places trying to find something that tastes close to what you’d get in Greece. We understand it’s harder to find on the West Coast but have been trying ever since we moved here. If you expect actual Greek food don’t go here. The Gyros have an almost mayonnaise tasting sauce. They are honestly way too expensive compared to other gyro places. The tzatziki is bland. The tyropita and spanakopita taste like the frozen ones you can get at the grocery store. Not only that, they charge almost 5$ for a singular triangle. And I think we got a baklava as well, but if that was it, it tasted like rolled up phyllo.

Absolutely did not expect being inclined to write a response, but I had to because this beef/lamb gyro was absolutely delicious. Every single ingredient, especially the lettuce was fresh. The fries are plus as a side and are made perfectly. I chose the spicy option and was pleased it was mild enough to enjoy the taste of the sauce and tzatziki. 10/10 even when ordered almost 5 miles away. It was fresh and warm as if I sat down inside.

Our family decided to check Seattle Hill Gyros after watching a recommendation on TikTok. We ordered the shawarma plate and the shawarma fries for our child. We chose lamb for our meat of choice. The meat was seasoned well and was tender. The plates had plenty of food with a huge serving of rice, a palm and a half size portion of meat, 4 pieces of quartered pita, and a small but very tasty salad. The only reason I'm giving the food a 4 is because we wished the rice/pita and salad were better portioned. In our opinion, we could have used less rice and more salad, maybe a little more meat. Drinks are a separate cost, but cold water is offered if you dine in. We'll definitely be back to try the gyro.

If I could give 2 1/2 Stars I would. But I don't think this new local restaurant doesnt earn a solid 3 stars. Today is my first day coming in here. I ordered the "Greek" beef and lamb gyro, Greek fries, spanakopita, and Turkish baklava. The Euro was overpowered with onions. Like, overly ripe onions and in abundance. The Gyro itself was a heaping serving of food though. So if you just need something to eat for a good price you got a good value for your money there. I noticed that when I got home, I had only actually received regular fries. When I called, she told me that that's what she had ordered for me. So she had misheard me. She didn't clarify the order. Which is an area for improvement in the ordering process. Because everything she said back to me was just "okay." So I thought that my communication was clear on my end. The spanakopita was COLD. I don't believe it was meant to be served that way. I've never had it served that way to me before in my life. And maybe, I'm just not a fan of Turkish baklava. But it was not good in my personal opinion. We did order another pastry which was also just a "meh". Maybe I should have just stuck with regular baklava trying the new restaurant. The atmosphere was nice. The place is clean. The people are friendly. Out of the $30 of food we had ordered between the two of us, it was disappointing when we felt like only a third of the food and experience was worth spending our money on. With each ate almost half of the gyro. Tried a bite of the other things and then everything got tossed after that. Because we're not going to save it for leftovers when it didn't taste good the first time around. I won't be back anytime soon. Maybe I'll try it again next year. And see if I feel differently.
