I'm gonna be honest and say I've only ever tried five things from Umai ... three different sushi rolls , the gyoza , and their combo fried rice .That being said - I love the fried rice and gyoza SO freaking much , I can't ever get myself to pick anything different ! ? I'm so glad my usual spot was too busy(due to a local event filling the parking lot) and I was on the hunt for an alternative. We ended up finding a hidden in plain sight gem on Pac Ave. We walked in and ordered the combo with several meals to last us the weekend vs just one dish. An almost hidden gem in Spanaway. Tucked away in a small strip mall is the best teriyaki I've ever had. The place has a pleasant and quiet ambiance. The food is simply amazing. Parking is adequate and easily accessed of Pacific Avenue. Staff is always very nice and happy to serve you. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.
