I have fond memories of singing karaoke at Charley's, both in the late 1990s when I would see what Dempsey's drag queens looked like without makeup and lip sync, and in the 2010s when I would be able to watch Spokane's fantastic stage actors often come sing after performing at the Civic Theater. Shirley is still the best.had chicken strips and fries for lunch .always a satisfying meal,great service,now a fresh makeover, very clean and opened up the restaurant so there's lots of light and clean windows, that shows the frsh clean environment. great place to socialize after a great meal.

My husband and I hired Charley's Catering to cater our wedding reception dinner - and WOW was it just delicious! They were there on time, set up everything, the buffet line was smooth and the servers were very professional (and FUN). They even bussed the tables, which was very unexpected! And one of the gals stayed and served drinks at the bar. I have absolutely no complaints, and our guests were raving about both the service and the food itself (y u m). Do yourselves a favor and hire Charley's for your event! You certainly will not be disappointed.

Charley's, like the Broadway Diner, is a neighborhood joint! The menu is very simple, burgers and sandwiches, as well as the typical bar munchies. Our server, "Al", was a delight. Loud and funny, she bantered easily with a number of locals in the place and still made a couple strangers feel right at home. We had burgers and they were outstanding. The meat was really flavorful and the onions, tomato and lettuce fresh. The bun was also perfect! The crispy fries were delicious. Add two gin/tonics apiece and $37.50 is a great bargain for the food and atmosphere. Mangia!!

Went in here for lunch today and saw there was a "throwback menu" in the back of the regular menu. I ordered the double cheeseburger and fries for 9.95. No complaints whatsoever! I thought it was very good! It was just a plain hamburger with cheese, no condiments or extras. Ketchup and mustard are right at the table and it comes with pickles. The fries were really tasty and not overly seasoned. Since it was the lunch hour, service was super fast! This just might be my next go-to lunch spot!

I was in the area and really wanted a burger. Yelp directed me to Charley's which was just up the street. Interior gave me a 80's Perkins kind of feel, but it was clean and I was here to eat, not to marvel at the interior. Service was friendly and attentive. Burger and fries were hot and fresh. Well worth the $11. Burger was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Bar appeared to be well stocked. Guess I found another place to go when I'm craving a burger

We recently used Shirley and her wonderful staff from Charley’s to cater for me and my husbands wedding. Shirley was great through the entire process of planning. Her staff was friendly and and professional. The food was amazing, we have had guests ask already who we used so they can also in the future for other events. My husband and I can not express our gratitude to this business, and just want to say thank you so much!! We highly recommend and if we have future parties and need catering we will definitely use Shirley and her staff again. Thank you again!!!
