We are in town for a volleyball tournament and stopped into DeLeon's on the Northside at 8pm on Friday. The tacos were some of the best I've ever had, full stop. The tortillas are marvelous; flavorful, tender but sturdy, perfect bite and toothfulness. The fresh onions are the perfect dice, not so big that they burn the flavor of the taco away, not so small that they go unnoticed. The cilantro is freshly and properly washed and chopped. The descriptions of heat levels are precise. The proteins fill the tacos, no skimping going on here, no reliance on cabbage as a filler. Their sauces lay thickly and taste fresh, they don't slip through to the bottom of the plate. The small things matter and DeLeon's gets it right.Additionally, Derek was serving our table and several others on a Friday night while also making his own drinks, and dude was still on point with service and speed. He was in octopus mode, which further lent to our outstanding experience at DeLeon's. Great job folks, and thank you!

Busy place for Restaurant Week, and probably always, due to the tasty food, selection and good prices.

First time I went to Del Leon’s taco bar with my girlfriend we get the same thing to eat. The only difference was I asked for a hotter salsa. They gave me mango habanero, which wasn’t too hot, but did the job. Fast forward hours later I get diarrhea, I get a fever, and I throw up multiple times next day. The food was great, really enjoyed it there. My girlfriend was okay no issues. I just hope I didn’t eat expired salsa or something else, but I’m still facing the misery of diarrhea.

A bit off this time. Steak fajitas had so little meat it was hard to find in the excessive amontbof onions and peppers. Would have been better off with a different choice. Been here before and I'll be back. Not my best visit.

Foodies pay attention! Food was amazing. Service, not so much but in defense they were busy until they weren't and it was painful trying to get refills and our bill.

Expect if a bartender spills a drink all over your pants and part of your shirt that you will still be charged for the drink you ordered. Apologetic but still charged, a little ridiculous in my opinion.

Have loved going here in the past but recently have had very poor service (waiting over half an hour to get our order in for drinks), the waitress was so rude we almost left (condescending, short, dripped out drinks across the table, didn't check back, didn't acknowledge us signaling for service, incorrect tickets), ordered a margarita for $10 that was mostly ice and didn't taste like anything (couldn't get our waitress to explain), the other party ordered coffee which was cold, I ordered a vegetarian salad (she said veggies would be added, they weren't, it was lettuce l, salsa, avocado, couldn't flag her to tell her they were missing). No hot sauce or anything offered as she never came back. We were there 2 hours. It was a terrible reflection on this business. We really appreciate the remodel, it was clean and comfortable.

We didn’t know cosmic cowboy closed so literally stumbled upon De Leon’s! And it did NOT disappoint. Brought hubby back for the taco boat. One of our new favorite spots in CDA!

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat after my mom had eye surgery, and she deaf, so the best way to communicate with her is to write things down. The menu was hard for her to read, since it's so dark. The waiter wasn't happy that I had to write things down to see what she wanted to eat, he became inpatient and walked away. If he had waited a second, we would have ordered right away. I had to go find the waiter. The bartender took our order but didn't write it down. The bartender and waiter acted as if it was their first day on the job. As I was guiding my mom out of the restaurant, along Hamiliton (very busy no matter the time of day) so she wouldn't slip into traffic. I realized that we had left our doggie bag on the table. By the time I got back, he had already tossed it out. The only time he was quick. De Leon's isn't to handicap friendly.
