Upon walking in, this is a great spot, very welcoming. The pricing is a bit spendy, but not horrible. My only complaint was the corned beef has being served in a bowl with about a half inch puddle of oil/butter in the bottom of it. The corned beef wasn't really prominent as it seemed to be sliced so thin, it disappeared into the rest of the dish. I will say after eating it, my stomach was messed up about an hour later. I feel if they can get that fixed, they will be just fine.

Don't order the fish. They have zero idea of how to cook it. You'll spend $40 on a dried up piece of cardboard. Stick with a burger.

They served me rotten tiramisu. I was sick for days after. On a Saturday too. I can understand giving old stuff on a Monday or a Tuesday but you gotta be making enough on a Saturday to use the new pan of tiramasu. Come

First time brunch goer here today. The frittata was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had anywhere. Flavor was unbelievable and the beignets were beyond amazing. My only slightly negative comment would be that my friend and I were sat at a table for two but that had a really tall partition between us and the tables on either side of us. Imagine eating a really delicious meal while visiting a friend in prison and that was the vibe ?Didn’t take away from how great the food was ?

We had a great dinner here with our teenagers... nice array of choices on their menu -- overall, the food was really good. Desserts were AHHH-MAZING! Service was excellent.

What. Wow, my experience today was top notch! ? The atmosphere was quiet, the service was great and the food was extremely memorable. The penne pasta (add chicken) had a plentiful tangy sauce which paired perfectly with the goat cheese crumbles and seared grape tomatoes. The basil on top freshened up the dish. The beignets were fresh and sweet, served with a bright sunny raspberry sauce. The portion is enough to share with the whole table. This is one of my new favorite restaurants in Spokane.

I drove 30 mins to meet a friend for dinner on 'steak night'. When I arrived, I was notified my friend couldn't make it. I kept our reservation, went in and ate alone. I received a very kind greeting and the young lady assured me it wasn't a problem (I was still nervous). My friend was hoping to get there before I left. My server, Caden, greeted me and I explained the situation again, apologizing for taking a table as a party of 1. He also assured me it wasn't an issue and was very kind. I proceeded to partake in a glass of wine, their happy hour brussel sprouts, the steak special and dessert! Without hesitation, this is by far the best service and meal I have had in years! Caden checked on me often, engaged in conversation and made sure I had a wonderful dining experience. Everything I consumed was amazing! Their tiramisu was a bit different than I've ever had with multiple layers of ladyfingers making it not quite as light as I'm used to. However, it was the best tiramisu I've ever eaten! Thank you Caden and Downriver Grill! I will be making that 30 minute drive again, with others, to share this incredible dining experience!

Had a reservation sat us at table and bo service for 15 mins so I got up to bar to get beer and they wondered why and told them can't get service and asked where I was sitting. Told him and said sorry and so went back to table and drank my beer which took another 15 mins and still no service. Paid for beer and manager didn't give 2 craps about the situation

I gave this place two tries. Ridiculously SLOW food. Excellent staff. Delish coffee, loved the house wine, very good quality for the price ($11.50). A few years ago on a Sunday ( we had a reservation). After waiting for food for an hour and a half, we paid our bar tab, tipped 20% and left. Today, we had a rez for 5. It took an hour for breakfast food. It was not busy. We had a reservation for over a week. This is a good place but go full and reserve two hours for the meal. Something is wrong with this owner, who is probably a chef. Btw, the cole slaw was just shreded cabbage. All of the five meals were delicious tho.
