I was visiting my brother and his family in Spokane and stopped by to get my first cup of coffee in the city.I wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent, the vibe in the coffee house was friendly, and the coffee was excellent.Inside First Ave Coffee, they have stools that are in the front window, and I sat there eating my cake donut and Sumatra pour over.

Nice specialty coffee shop. Beautiful automatic pour over machines - amusing to behold! Had a natural Ethiopian and an Ethiopian-Colombian blend. Was ok, but no more than that. The cups lacked clarity and brightness for me, didn’t have enough character, felt somewhat generic and somewhat roasty - both had that kind of sunflower seeds taste layer kind of thing that felt like it’s a reflection of overroast. Nonetheless, there was some kind of aftertaste.Had a great Colombian cortado though! Next time I am here, I’d go straight for an espresso drink and maybe some bite.Nice vibe, comfortable armchairs!

Coffee and food was not bad but coming from Melbourne, I can't say the coffee is exceptional. Been there a few times when in town, there was one time when the barista said oh sorry I stuffed up the latte art and she still served me that coffee. This will never happen in Melbourne. LOL.

To the barista working hard & on her own during a morning rush-- Thank you. As someone who has been in your place before, you rocked it. My latte was perfect. Your service was lovely. I really appreciate all of it.

We were honored to partner with First Avenue Coffee to launch our alcohol-free pop-up event business, Diversion Events! Doyle and Carri were flexible, passionate, and welcoming hosts. Their staff is creative, talented, and tireless. The space is immaculate and perfect for an event. The mocktail menu is impeccable and sourced beautifully, not mention their regular food and drink options. Basically, they approach all they do with excellence, and it shows. We are now life-long fans of First Avenue Coffee and forever grateful to them!

My coffee shop now. I found it (when it opened) on my walk to work. I am picky about the aftertaste in coffee and their medium roast choices never insults my taste buds. So, I have bravely tried their deeper roasts and found the same to be true. Well roasted beans and well prepared coffee all around. Everyone of the staff is pleasant and takes good care of their customers. They learn your name and your favorite drink. Love all around. The space is very pleasant, whether you like the window view, the common table or the loft.

Lovely little coffee shop that I frequent when I visit Spokane. Be sure to try the savory biscuits! Made from scratch on-site, and I recently learned they are gluten-free.

An absolute gem of a coffee shop in the inland PNW. Kind staff, spacious seating, tasty breakfast pastries and yogurt parfaits, and soothing music. Definitely a must visit when in Spokane or to make your local.
